My heart raced. I waited, anticipation killing me. He dropped his glass and released a sigh. I didn’t realize I had been holding my breath all this while until Kael put his hands on mine. My chest heaved slowly. My breath slowly comes back to normal.
He continued, “I didn't expect this. But it came all of a sudden and I feel so happy to share this good news with all of you.”
He smiled, his gaze not leaving mine. I didn't know why but there was something weird about how he looked at me. It was only for a split second— but I noticed.
