Wednesday Even before Mel opened her eyes, she already knew that it wasn’t going to be a regular day like the one that she hoped for when she went to bed. The feeling of strange anticipation was back, unpleasantly tugging at her stomach and urged her to get up and run and do something incredibly important without specifying what it actually was. Mel didn’t try to suppress a sigh. There wasn’t anyone here to judge her, and Elizabeth was going to give her an unimpressed stare even without eyes, so there was no point in pretending not to be annoyed.
