Another neutral coloured dot disappeared from the map. The looked at the scene in front of me and instantly became disgusted. The two elderly couple lied flat on the ground, there was many swords mark on their body, one of them still had a sword stab into his back. Blood flowed out of their wounds like a river, at this point all sign of life is gone. "Why?" Why would you kill them? The bandits were all frozen at the spot when seeing me appearing out of nowhere, and upon detecting my killing intents. After a while, one of the bandits gulped and then finally spoked, "A-Are they your slaves? W-We will compensate you." "I asked you why?" The bandit's expression suddenly changed, "Tch, brat! Don't take a mile when given an inch, do you think we really can't defeat you." All of the bandits momentarily drawn out their swords and surrounded me. The same bandit spoke again, "Since those are your slaves that we killed, we will just let you live as compensation. So, leave here before we change our mind… Oh! You also must leave that beastkins girl!" ***Narrator's PV: "Ha-ha…!" Caine put one of his palms against his forehead and started laughing maniacally. "Brat, did you go crazy?!" "Leave before we change our mind!" Caine finally stopped laughing and replied, "How can I leave when I still haven't taken your life yet?" With that, Caine instantly disappeared in front of their eyes and reappeared in front of one of the bandits. Splosh! The head of the bandit instantly became severed from it's neck, it's eyes still opened with the image of a devil imprinted in it. Before the bandits could react, Caine disappeared again and once again reappeared in front of another bandit. Splosh! Splosh! Splosh! Splosh! All five heads of the bandits got severed from it's shoulder and blood cascaded into the sky, dying the ground crimson red. At this moment, the little girl in the carriage finally came out and embraced the elderly woman who was lying on the floor. "Grandma please wake up!" Tears started to cascade down the girl's cheek. ***Caine's PV: I looked towards the girl who was pleading for the elderly woman to wake up, but her eyes were closed and will always be. This is my fault; I should have paid more attention to the map. If I did then this wouldn't have happened! "Grandma please wake up!" The girl continues to plead despite knowing the impossible. I reached out to the elderly woman's hand and, 'Creation Magic'. The body of the elderly woman momentarily glow in a white blinding light. After the light settled down the wounds that used to be on the body had disappeared. "I'm sorry, recovering their body is all I can do." "T-Thank you!" At this point, the girl finally stopped pleading for them to wake up and just silently embracing the elderly woman. … After assisting the girl burying the two body of the two-elderly couple, I incinerated the bodies of those bandits. I did it to the point that not even ash remained. I glance towards the girl, she looked to be about four years old. Like the elderly couple, she also had ears and tail like that of a fox. Her hair is blonde, including the colour of her ears and tail. If she were to stay in the city, she would most like get abused in the street or taken in as a slave by some slave venders, since beastkins are discriminated in this empire. In fact, almost all empires discriminate beastkins, due to their weak nature, however there are some beastkins that are overly strong but that's only in the minority. Human had also taken in the effort to kill those to ensure that they won't breed more powerful beastkins. Looking at her reminds me of a pet beast that I used to own in my past life, but of course they had long died. It can't be helped; ancient dragons are cursed to forever live alone. Perhaps it was because it reminded me of my pet beast or because I pity her, but… "What's your name?" "N-Nina." "Alright Nina, do you want to follow me from now on." I reach out one of my hand for her.
