CHAPTER SIXTEEN By the time Mackenzie and Ellington reached the forensics department in downtown Richmond, the police along with a local detective had already started running the print they had found on Wayne Nevins’s walking stick. As they waited for results, Mackenzie looked over the printouts regarding the print, the cane, and the crime scene itself. There were a few photographs included in the file, all of which she pored over while she waited. She asked the chief of police for a small workspace where she also borrowed a laptop. She signed into her email and started printing off copies of all her own files and photos so she could have a physical copy of everything.
