CHAPTER FIFTEEN He was fully aware that it made more sense to strike at night. The lack of light provided an easy advantage. But during the day, no one expected anything. The added bonus that it was just after five o’clock in the afternoon and everyone was in a hurry to get home from work made it that much easier. Also, he knew the woman’s schedule like the back of his hand. He was sitting in the back of a City of Lynchburg transit bus. It had just pulled up in front of a library addition to one of the smaller local colleges. Lynchburg was one of those southern cities tucked just at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains that hid three colleges in its rustic folds.
