Liora didn't answer immediately.
She looked once more at the yellowed newspaper clipping in her hand.
Then quickly slipped it back into the envelope and tucked it inside the drawer of her bedside table.
Another knock.
"Liora?"
She took a deep breath.
"I'm coming."

Caelan stood outside, one hand resting in his trouser pocket.
He had already changed out of his suit.

"I hope I didn't wake you."

"I noticed your balcony light was still on."

"So you came to check on me?"
