Liora had barely stepped into the Foundation when Mara called.
"Mrs. Ashford?"

"Mr. Ashford asked me to give you a message."
Liora smiled.
"He could've texted."
"He wanted it to be a surprise."
"A surprise?"
Mara handed her a cream-colored envelope.
"This is all he told me to deliver."
