Tales of The Celestial Empire Book One: Wardawn

Many centuries ago, in the Terran Year 2057, humanity had done the impossible and created a new living being through the use of genetic engineering. It was thought of as a miracle of science by many, but to a few, was seen as a way to gain power and wealth, as they saw a way to make beings that would be made to work without pay: a way to make slaves to do labor for them. So it was that the created beings, half human, half animal beings, known by the Japanese name "Kemonomimi". They looked human save for having animal body parts, such as ears and tails on most, with a few having wings. The majority of the Kemonomimi were a hybrid of mammal species, with the common ones being based on felines, foxes, wolves and rabbits. Most Kemonomimi were females, as a majority were used as living s*x toys by those who used them as such. But there were also males who were used as laborers and soldiers along with females. While many nation-states had tried to stop the use of Kemonomimi, the mega-corporations soon made such laws hard to pass and also claimed that the Kemonomimi were property. In short, they had no rights because they were not humans and not protected by international law. The same mega-corporations would use the same argument for robots with AI. This would start what was known as the great debate of Sentence, which divided Humanity over the idea, with nations such as the United American Republics and the United States of Europe banning the use of Kemonomimis as slaves. But this did not stop the mega-corporations who ignored all attempts at ending the enslavement of The Kemonomimi. even mettldeing in elections to try and stop the UAR and USE from banning Kemonomimi slavery. So it was that the Third World War started and many Kemonomimi soldiers were tossed into the meat grinder by the mega-corporations in battle. this and the face many females were being used as s*x slaves was enough to push many into plotting rebellion against the humans, to overthrow the disgusting primates from their rule of Earth. It was when the mega-corporations were close to winning that the Kemonomimi rebelled, ending the Third World War and starting the First Synth War. Five years of total war ravaged the planet with humanity only gaining the upper hand with biological and nuclear weapons. This forces the Kemonomimi rebels to decide that the only way to be free was to leave the planet itself. So it was that the rebels built large ships with experimental faster than light engines stolen from the humans. soon enough the surviving Kemonomimi Races boarded these ships and launched into the unknown just as the robots started their own rebellion sparking the Second Synth War on Earth. It was once they activated their FTL engines that the fleet soon encountered their fate as they had accidently opened a wormhole in the Heliopause that was the border between the Solar System and interstellar space.The fleet was soon sent far from the Solar System and far beyond known space. they ended up in another star system, one that was not in the Milky Way, but in the Galaxy humans called 'NGC 5194' or 'The Whirlpool Gaalxy.' settling this new world, the Kemonomimi soon decided to name it 'Chimera' after the mythical hybrid beast and would hence no long use the slave name 'Kemonomimi' for their kind. They were the Chimerans and they would build their own civilization that would be free. Hence was born the Celestial Empire, ruled by a Imperial monarch that would lead their people along with the Grand Parliament of The Empire. With in a hundred years the former slaves would expand with colonies at first, until they faced an alien civilization known as the "Myrimindons", a insectoid race that attacked without mercy, only for the Chimerans to turn the tables on them and become the conquerors. It as been over 3,000 years since the Chimerans came to The Whirlpool Galaxy and their Empire covers a good quadrant of the known Galaxy, withe their main enemy being the saurian Ba'Shan, who rule a vast Empire of their own. For the Chimerans it is the year 3117 AGE (After Great Exodus) and they are the rulers of their own fate under the rule of the young Emperess Annastania Regalia XVII, who is but a teenager and yet has the power of the throne thrust on her and the destiny of her people in her hands. 3,000 years since they escaped the hated humans, who are thought of as a myth, perhaps wiped out by the robots. One could only hope that is what befell the hated race. But this is the year that Humanity would find them. So starts the Wardawn........
