* At the break of dawn, Leonard woke up Sierra and Brandon. The former groaned out of frustration when she looked up and saw that the sky hadn't even gotten light yet. The thin rays of sunlight were just beginning to appear from the Eastern horizon, and the woods still slept peacefully before the first light. "We need to get going," Leonard told them. "I don't want to risk running into any more bandits on our way." Brandon sat up as well, visibly exhausted but slightly less so than Sierra. His eyes scanned the campsite quickly, where the campfire had died down and dew had settled over the blades of grass. Something caught his attention, a scent which he could recognize.
