Each of them had a face as black as their hearts, and there was blood on their chins which she didn't want to guess where it came from. "Calm down," Leonard said. "They can't see or hear us." "Why is that?" Brandon asked. "Because I've put some protective spells around our campsite," he replied. "The only way they will see us is if one of them is capable of removing my spell, which I find highly unlikely."
