It started like a shivering, a low whisper which crept through the battlefield. Alpha Clark was the first to feel it, even as he charged down several wolves at once and brought them down quite easily.
He froze, and he turned to look east, where the darkness was coming from. It wasn’t the normal darkness which he had already seen. This was a different kind of darkness, one far more deadly and much more corrupt. It came in the form of a cloud, and it drifted towards them swiftly.
