* Fear was no longer an emotion which felt detached from her. As Sierra looked into Shiela’s eyes, fear became a real thing, something physical which she could almost reach out and grab with her own hands. It tightened her throat, and froze every inch of her so that she was paralyzed. Shiela c****d her head, watching her with a calm, almost detached look in her eyes.
