Alpha Clark was alerted to a raucous right outside the manor. He had felt Edward’s presence even before he went out, but when he went outside, he was stunned to find him on the floor, covered in blood with his clothes torn in several places.
“Move away from him,” he barked at once, and the crowd opened up to let him through. Eva was behind him instantly, and she was just as stunned as he was.
Edward was writhing on the floor, and he kept coughing up clots of blood.
“Ed, what the hell happened?” Alpha Clark demanded. He knelt beside him, and Edward clung to his arm as he gasped for air. His face was slashed open completely, and blood gushing from everywhere. He looked like he had been mauled by a bear, or even worse.
