* Sierra woke up with a dull buzzing in her head, and she was surprised to find that her father was standing over the bed, a distant look in his eyes. He didn’t even move as she opened her eyes and turned to face him. Something was wrong. She could tell. He would have been happy that she was alright, but there wasn’t any trace of happiness in his eyes. He was fuming, and the sight terrified her more than anything else. “Father?” she called in a timid voice. “Are you alright?” For a moment, he seemed like he hadn’t even heard her.
