Chapter 14

Julia grew increasingly worried "please please don't hurt him, I will do what you asked me to do" she bit her lips and said, then the call hung up. Martha who was on the steering driving her back home heard everything. "Julia are you insane? You want to go pur your life on the line like that?" She shouted. "Martha, don't forget it's because of me Niles is in trouble if anything happens to him my conscience won't let me rest. I have to go save him, clear all the mess I made and avenge my parents" she said with a hint of determination flashing in her eyes. Martha just glanced at her in disbelief.

Meanwhile, Juliet had successfully tapped Julia location "she's heading home.......let's pay her a visit." She said walking out and the others quickly followed. Julia and Martha got to her house and Julia headed upstairs to think of how to save Niles while Martha packed her things from the car. As Martha closed the door and turned to walk into the building, her mouth was covered by a hand and a gun pointed on her head. She was led to a car and was held hostage by two other men. Julia who was opening her window saw this and her heart skipped! They were here already! "Get her!" Juliet shouted and pointed at her and the men rushed into the building.

Julia ran to her balcony and ran to the back of the building. Her flat was on the third floor and she had heard her door being broken by the men. Luckily, she had grabbed her bag pack she has specially prepared for her revenge. There was a rope in it. She set it down and slid down effortlessly. Meanwhile, the men had broken into her house, searched everywhere but she had escaped so they returned to Juliet. "How clever of her, I haven't seen someone as interesting as her in a long while. Let's see how far she can run without her close friends" she smirked and drove off while the men followed suit.

Julia ran until her leg ached and her mouth was dry and patched. She had gotten Samantha and Niles into trouble! Now her house is known to her enemies. That stupid Niles! Why did he put her real house address in the CV? Now all of them have been dragged into her mess. She sat on a stone and drank from her water bottle, her home is no longer safe and if she go stay with Samantha she will only put her in trouble. So where will she go? She walked on deeper into the outskirt of the city without seeing a living soul. It was gradually becoming dark and she realized she has been trekking for hours.

Then she saw an old woman heading to a little house, the first house she had seen in this jungle. She followed her silently and watched, to ensure it was not a trap. After realizing the old woman wasn't a spy and just a a harmless person, she knocked but the door was opened by a young boy of about twenty years with a rough looking appearance.

"Who are you?" He asked cautiously in a deep voice that surprised Julia. "Who is it Myron?" An older man said coming to the door. "Please don't turn me away, you will be doing me a huge favor and helping My life if you accommodate me" she pleaded looking pitiful. "Are you sure you aren't a police officer?" Myron eyed her suspiciously "show me your id card" he demanded taking Julia aback but she quickly complied. "You're a surgeon?" The old man eyes widened in surprise as he opened the door wider gesturing her to come in. "Do you have money?" Myron asked. 'Stop that Myron! Are you out of your senses?' The old man scolded and turned back to Julia.

"Please forgive him, he is an i***t please tell me why you are running away?" He said looking intensely at her. She briefly explained all she had been through and the old man mouth dropped open. "You offended Rugger? That beast and his syndicate that are rulers of the underworld? Though I don't know much about him, from the little I heard he kills people like flies" the old man said and sighed heavily. "The reason why I am helping you is that a surgeon once saved my life and treated me when I was at the point of death with no money to undergo surgery. On your part too please help out financially and leave the rest for us" he concluded. Julia quickly nodded "leave all financial aspect to me, I will do my best" she said and Myron eyes shone.

The old man nodded and left to inform his wife about Julia. Myron offered her his room but she declined and said she will make do with the living room. Before she slept that night, she powered off her phone and that option unknowingly saved her because her phone was used in tracking her right from the time she picked up that call.

Meanwhile, Juliet drugged Martha to sleep because she has been causing a fuss and making threats. The next day Julia put on her phone and headed to the hospital because she had surgeries booked down for that day. "We got a signal madam" Julius said bowing a little. "Good......track it down now" she said with a smirk. Niles who hasn't had anything since the previous day was too weak to do anything.

She walked to him and said "your silly girl friend thinks she can run, today she isn't getting away from me" she said and laughed evilly. Niles heart skipped "if Julia is taken too who will rescue us?" He thought. Juliet and her men left leaving them without guards. If he wasn't tied tightly, he could have been able to escape. After a long time close to noon, she came out of the theatre looking fatigue and slumped down on a chair. Suddenly, there was a commotion at the hospital as she stood up to see what is going on, she saw them!

The people that took Martha! She turned and began to run but unfortunately one of them saw her and pursued her then the rest followed. She ran deliberately leading them downstairs to make escape easier for her. She saw an empty ward and ran into it locking the door but unfortunately the one that saw her first that Was hot at her heels followed her in. She smirked and with the perception of a martial artist, she threw the scalpel in her hand at him and the guy being an ordinary person couldn't match her speed to dodge he was struck on his chest and he died instantly.

Julia jumped out through the window into the bush. Juliet was mad! By the time they broke the door, Julia had escaped out of sight and the guy was dead. "Keep tracking her, don't loose her again!" She yelled at her men storming out of the ward. As Julia ran, she began to brainstorm on what they were using to track her. Then it hit her! Yes! It has to be this phone. It has been tapped. She smiled "Hannah way......... She murmured and ran deeper into the dense forest, climbed a tree and put the phone up there.

Then she came out of the forest and hailed a cab to Hannah way. She began to look for the warehouse described to her, soon she found it. On the outside, it looked deserted and abandoned. She ran in "Niles.....! Niles.......can you hear me?" Niles thought he was imagining things "is that you Julia?" He relied in a weak voice. She traced the voice and ran there "oh gud! Am so sorry Niles!"

She apologized cutting their ropes with her sharp pocket knife. She carried Martha and helped Niles into the waiting taxi outside. Meanwhile, Julia and her men after wasting a lot of time just ended up seeing the phone on a tree. Juliet lost it this time, she screamed "you b***h! More intelligent than I thought! Just wait till I get you! You will wish for death".
