Ava’s POV The sight before me sent a sharp, searing pain straight through my chest. Luna. Her fingers curled against Liam’s chest, her lips tilted into that same slow, knowing smile. The one she always wore when she thought she had won. And Liam—he stood rigid, his jaw clenched, but he wasn’t pulling away fast enough. Something inside me cracked. “What the hell is going on?” My voice came out sharper than I intended, but I didn’t care. Liam’s head snapped toward me, his silver eyes widening. And then, in an instant, he pushed Luna away, his movements abrupt, almost violent. She stumbled slightly but caught herself, her expression morphing from amusement to something else. Something dangerous. Tears burned at the back of my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. Not in front of her.
