Chapter 8

Six months has passed since Lexie got custody of her niece. It was a battle for sure but we slowly got in the swing of things. Alex stayed with me at night while Lex was at the club and the other girls helped out during the day doing shifts when I was working. I was currently standing in the kitchen cooking dinner when little hands tug on my shirt. I look down to see Alex looking up at me.

"Aw what's wrong bunny?" I ask her

I wipe my hands off and lift her onto my hip. She lays her head on my shoulder and yawns. I look at the clock and notice it's close to dinner time.

"Just a little longer then we can eat and go night night bunny" I tell her

"can I watch?" she asks softly

I smile and place her on the counter and get back to chopping.

"Want to stir?" I ask her

She nods happily and I smile. I hand her a wooden spoon and she stirs happily.

"Hey baby" Bray says walking in

"Hey" I say tiredly

"Tired?" He asks

"I am. Dinner and then we are getting a bath and going to bed huh bunny" I say looking at Alex

"Uh huh. Night night time" She says softly

Braydon chuckles and steps over to her.

"What are we cooking?" He asks her

"Aunt Lise is making homemade chili" She says happily

"No we are making it" I tell her

She smiles and stirs some more. I get the chili going and simmering so I can sit down. I go out sitting down and Alex crawls in my lap. About ten minutes later Lexie walks in the door.

"Hey babe. I'll take her. I took tonight off. I know your tired" She tells me

"Aunt Lex we made chili" Alex says excitedly

"That's great sunshine. I can't wait to eat it" She says grinning down at her niece

"Go shower and come on down and it should be done. I told bunny here she could help tonight." I tell Lexi

"You sure?" She asks

"Of course." I say nodding

She nods and heads off for a shower. I stand and left Alex onto my hip and walk into the kitchen and hit play on the music. Alex stirs and I sing along and she giggles. I drop everything and scoop her up and spin her around dancing her around the kitchen. She laughs and grin spin her again. When another song comes on she starts singing along in my arms. I throw my head back laughing. I place her on the counter and help to stand she dances around. I see Lex walk in and she gasps and I smile. The boys walks in and they freeze watching me dance with Alex. When it ends she leaps at me and I catch her spinning her around laughing along with her. I sit her on the counter and kiss her forehead.

"Thank you Aunt Lise" Alex says sadly

"Of course Bunny. Let me guess Coyote Ugly was your moms favorite movie?" I ask

"It was" She says nodding

"Well let's get some bowls. I'll turn it on and if you make it through the movie you can have ice cream before bed" I tell her

"Deal" She says grinning

Arms wrap around me and I sway to the song while Alex stirs the chili.

"Thank you" Lexi whispers

I pat her hands and start singing along. I spin and wrap her in my arms hugging her close. Her shoulders shake as she silently cries. I rub her back and sigh.

"Breathe babe. It's going to be ok. I promise" I tell her softly

she hums and pulls back wiping her face and I turn to lift Alex to the floor.

"Bray" She squeals

"Hey short stack" He says scooping her up

I fix bowls and we all file into the living room. I turn on the TV and we sit down for a movie and dinner. Before the movie was over Alex was asleep leaning to my side. I smile and reach over lifting her up and carrying her to bed. Once I come back down the kitchen was clean and the leftovers were put up.

"Night babe" Lexi says and goes to bed

I was scooped up and carried to my room. I was sat on the bed and Chase goes over grabbing me a t shirt. He tosses it on the bed and they both strip their clothes and I go in the bathroom and strip and come back out to find them in bed waiting on me. I crawl over Braydon and slide into the middle and yawn. I was wrapped in two sets of arms and before I knew it was out like a light. When I woke up the next morning I walked downstairs to a quiet house. I snatched up my keys and headed for the clubhouse. When I walked in everyone froze.

"What?" I ask

"Get the f**k off me" I hear

I smirk and walk into the kitchen to see a club w***e pushing up on Braydon.

"Hey Bray" I say

"Hey baby" He says

The girl looks at me and rolls her eyes.

"Problem?" Wolf asks behind me

"No" She says quickly

"Actually there is." I say

Her eyes widen and I smile softly.

"What is it Firefly?" He asks wrapping around my waist

"Your feeding yourselves tonight. I'm going to see the boys" I tell him

"Is that it?" He asks

"Yup" I say popping the P

"Alright. Taking Nat?" He asks

"Of course. And my brother will be there as well" I tell him

"Alright have fun. Keep your phone on" He tells me

"I will" I say still looking at her

Braydon steps around her and comes over leaning down kissing me.

"Have fun baby. I'm headed to the shop. Stop by before you leave please" He says

"Of course" I say nodding

He leaves and Wolf pulls from me and walks away.

"Next time you touch what isn't yours I will not save you." I snarl at her

Her eyes widen and I spin and step out of the Kitchen to see all the boys looking at me and Wolf standing there with his arms crossed against his wide chest. She steps out behind me and gasps. I walk over to Wolf and raise my arms and he rolls his eyes and wraps his arms around me picking me up. I lean forward and kiss him softly and pull back. He sits me back on my feet and Nat walks in with a bunch of bags.

"Later" I call out

We head for my car and before long we are headed to see Bray before leaving. When I pull up Benny steps out of the big bay door.

"Hey shorty." He says

"Benny" I say nodding

I walk in and see Bray under a car cursing up a storm. I walk over straddling him and he tenses. I lean down and squeeze myself on top of him and kiss him. He groans and I smile into the kiss.

"Eh eh mister keep the grease filled hands to yourself. I just showered" I tell him when his hands move

"Yes ma'am. Have fun baby" He tells me

I crawl back out and salute the guys.

"Be safe" They call after me

We were back on the road and the windows were down and the music was up. We were singing along and laughing up a storm. It took us two hours to get to the venue. When we got there I had decided just to go back stage.

"Sorry ma'am I can't let you through" A security guard said

"We will see about that" I say

I pull out my phone and dial Austin.

"hey baby" I hear

"Can you please come tell this asshole to let me f*****g through" I snarl

"s**t" I hear

Two minutes later Austin burst through the door panting.

"Last time I checked I told you that my friend was coming with a friend and to let them through" He snaps at the security guard

The mans eyes widen and I smirk at him.

"Come on darling" Austin says

I stomp on the fuckers foot and he growls and I smirk and push past him. Austin leads us to the dressing room and all the guys jump up seeing me.

"Hey sweets" They says kissing my cheek one after the other

"You guys ready?" I ask

"Always. We got you both seats in the pit. There is a guard you will meet that will help you if you need it" Austin tells me

"Ok over protective ass" I grumble

"Do not fight me on this or I will lock you in here" Austin snarls

"I'd like to see you try. What would daddy think if I told him his precious son decided to man handle little ol me without my permission?" I ask sweetly

Fire lights his eyes and I smirk. He growls and stomps off slamming the bathroom door shut and I sigh. I hand my stuff to Natalie and take off after him. I push in and close the door and he was in the shower with his head bowed. I walk over and tap the glass and he looks at me. He pulls the door open some and I sigh.

"I'm sorry. I was only joking." I tell him softly

"I worry." He tells me

"I know and I love you for it. But Aus i'm a big girl. I promise i'll you the guard if I really need him." I tell him

"I can live with that" He tells me

"Hurry up." I tell him

He steps back closing the door and I walk out of the bathroom to see all the guys and Nat look at me.

"he's fine. I had to calm down the beast but he's fine." I say

The door opens and his dad steps in and I grin.

"Daddy M" I say with a grin

He chuckles and I walk over and hug him tight. I relax into him and he just lets me wrap myself.

"Babe" I hear

Masimo growls loudly and every one shuts up and I smile. I remove myself from him and look up at him.

"You ok little flower?" He asks softly

"I'm fine. I just needed a hug" I tell him softly

"We have to talk but we can later" he tells me

I nod and he reaches in his pocket and pulls out a piece of butterscotch and offers it to me. I grin and snag it and open it popping it in my mouth and groan.

"You still carry those around?" I ask

"Never know when my girl it's going to need a sugar fix" I say grinning

"It's time" I hear

We all file out and Austin stops next to a huge man.

"Babe this is Gabriel. Gabe this little lady is Annalise" Austin says introducing us

"Ma'am" he says

"Please just call me Annalise. Ma'am makes me feel old" I say smiling

"Thank god" He grumbles

I laugh and Austin chuckles and kisses my temple and runs on stage. Gabe leads us to our spot and I see a few girls eyes widen as we are lead to the front row which is completely empty.

"Damn it Austin. He just had to clear it out" I grumble

"Relax babe. He is just worried about you and your safety. It's ok. At least no one will be bumping into us" She says grinning

I pull out my phone and snap a picture and then add her, Bear, Wolf, Poison, and cueball all to a group text. I send the picture of us and our phones start going crazy.

"Why is no one around?" Wolf asks

"Austin's over protective self cleared out the front row for us!" I text back

"Good man." Wolf says

I grumble and shove my phone in my pocket and the show starts. A hour into it Austin jumps off stage and steps up to me and I grin. He sings and then pushes the mic to my mouth. I start singing along and he grins and winks at me. When the song ends the crowd goes wild.

"Ladies and Gents this beautiful woman has been with us since we were ten years old. She has seen the good the bad and was even in the band in high school. She is what grounds us. She keeps us in line. Thank you for sticking with us through it all babe" He says

I hug his sweaty sticky self and he kisses the top of my head.

"Boost her up here" Caleb calls

Austin spins and pulls me over and lifts me onto the stage. Caleb hugs me and the others follow.

"Woman you are amazing. We love you. And let us be the first to tell you Happy birthday darling" Caleb says

He hands me the mic and I sigh.

"Thank you all. It really means a lot. I'm so glad your living your dream. You worked hard and made it. And thank you to all their loving fans. I wish you guys nothing but the best in the future" I say

A cake is wheeled out and candles are lit and I tear up. Natalie was standing close recording and everyone started singing happy birthday to me. I blew out the candles and closed my eyes sighing.

"We have next week off so we are yours for the week. Whatever you want it's yours. There are five of us so a fun filled week for your birthday" Austin tells me

"Really?" I ask tearing up

"Yes ma'am." Jake says

I grin and hug all of them.

"OK get back to it so I can get home" I say with a giggle

Austin leads me to the edge and jumps down and reaches up waiting on me to sit down on the edge. I find my feet back on the ground and make it back to my seat. When the next song kicks off Austin sings the song I wrote that made them big. I danced and sang along and he winked at me. Suddenly I was shoved from behind and I stumble but Natalie catches me. I spin around glaring to see a guy there with the two girls there were glaring at us.

"What the f**k is your problem?" I snarl

"Knew she was a w***e" One girls says smirking

"Want to repeat that?" Austin says through the mic

The girls eyes widen and she pales.

"Gabe my man get their names, all three of them and then have them barred from any further events" Austin says

Their eyes widen and another security guard comes up escorting them all out.

"I love you. I'm going to go home" I call out

"Love you sweets. Text us" Jake yells

I salute them and we head for the car. Two hours later we were pulling up to my house and I sighed.

"I'm sorry that happened but did you have fun at least?" Natalie asks

"I had a great time. Thank you for going with me" I tell her

"Of course. Now when didn't you tell anyone it was your birthday?" she asks

"Nat my birthdays were never good days. I don't like to celebrate it at all." I tell her

"I understand." she says

The guys walk in the door and I sigh looking at her. She winces and I know she told them.

"Stop" I command

They stop in their tracks and look at me with wide eyes.

"What's going on?" Wolf asks

"I do not want to talk about it. I don't want to celebrate. Leave it alone" I tell them

"Ok baby. We don't have to. So will you at least let me give you something though?" Liam asks

I sigh and nod. He walks towards me and produces a cupcake and I smile. I take it and smile at him.

"Thank you." I tell him

"Happy Birthday Aunt Lise" Alex squeals

She runs at me and Liam takes my cupcake and I scoop her up.

"Thank you Bunny." I say to her with a fake smile

"I'm sorry. I tired to stop her" Lexi says

"its ok. I'll take it." I say placing her back down

My phone rings and I know who it is so I pull it out and walk out onto my back deck closing the door.

"Hello" I say softly

"Happy Birthday sweet girl" A voice says softly

"Thank you Viv." I whisper

"I know you don't like to but I couldn't wait to call you. Are you well?" She asks

"I'm fine. I have a new life here." I tell her softly

"I'm happy for you sweetheart. I miss you" She says sadly

"Come visit me. I'll pay for the ticket. You can stay with me. Please?" I beg

"Are you sure?" She asks

"Let it be my birthday gift." I tell her

"When?" She asks

"Tomorrow? I'll book it tonight and email it over. I'll send someone to pick you up from the airport" I tell her

"Deal" She says

I smile and sniffle.

"Don't cry ladybug." She tells me

"I'm not. I promise" I tell her

"I'll see you day after tomorrow" She tells me

"I love you" I tell her

"I love you most Ladybug" She tells me

I hang up and lean my head back sighing. The back door opens and Nat steps up beside me.

"I need a favor" I say not looking at her

"Alright" She says

"I need you to go to the airport day after tomorrow and pick someone up for me" I tell her

"Not a problem" She tells me

She wraps a arm around me and I lean into her side.

"it is pretty out here" She says

"I love it out here just kinda wish I would have screened this in back here cause the bugs are awful at night" I tell her

"I'm sure Snake can have it done." She says

I hum and yawn.

"I'm going to bed. Thank you again for tonight" I tell her

"Anytime babe" She says

I smile at her and head on up to bed. When I walk in all the guys were standing by the big windows looking down.

"If your going to ask then you can leave" I tell all three of them

I go in the bathroom and wash my face and come out stripping and sliding on a t shirt. I pull the covers back and slide in bed. Liam places Oliver on my bed and he comes up curling up beside me. I pet him softly and he purrs and I smile. Hannibal jumps up on the end of the bed and lays down and I sigh.

"Baby" Bray says kneeling down beside the bed

"What?" I say with a sigh

"Did you have a good time?" He asks softly

"i did." I say

"Good. Now get some sleep" He tells me

He leans down kissing my forehead and the others follow and they all walk out.
