The Innocent and the Bikers

I guess I should start with introducing myself. My name is Annalise. I'm 25 years old and on the run from my ex-husband. I had stolen what money I could and hid it till I had enough and then I packed what I could in my SUV and took off while he was at work. I know doesn't make since to divorce me but still keep me stuck in the same house he brought his whores back to. I was currently driving through a random state headed to Oregon. I don't know why it was just the first place I thought about. It was far away from my ex. I was entering a small town when I realized I needed gas. I pulled over and filled up and took off again. I stopped noticing a diner and pulled in. I cautiously made my way inside and sighed when I slid into a booth. "Hi there. I'm Amy. What can I get ya honey?" She asks sweetly "Oh um whatever is cheapest" I say softly "It's on me" I hear behind me I look over my shoulder to see a well dressed woman sitting there. She stands and comes over and looks me over. "May I?" She asks softly I nod and she slides in front of me. "bring her the works Amy" she says Amy nods and walks off and my eyes widen. "Relax honey. I got it. Sorry I'm Natalie. I live here" She says with a smile "Annalise" I say "Nice to meet you. You just passing through?" She asks "I'm looking for a place here" I say softly "There is a little apartment available above the salon. Not expensive." she says "Where is that?" I ask sipping my drink "I can walk you over after you eat" She says grinning "That would be great" I whisper I say looking around making sure I was safe. I sigh not seeing anything unusual and dig into my meal. She lets me eat in peace and when I finish half I push it away. She smiles and pays the bill and stands. I follow her slowly and she waits patiently. "You ok with walking? It's one block down" She asks "That's fine" I tell her nodding She smiles and we take off and she points out certain shops as we walk. I nod keeping up knowing I will need to know these things. We enter the salon and a woman's head pops up. "Hi Nat. Who is this?" the tiny redhead asks "This is Annalise. She was wanting to rent the apartment upstairs" she says "Oh. Of course. Can you show her around while I finish up here?" She asks "Sure Hon" Natalie says "Hi. I'm Courtney" she says offering her hand "Nice to meet you" I say shaking her hand Natalie leads me upstairs and through a door and I look around. It was perfect for me. "I like it. How much?" I ask "300 a month. Like I said it's cheap." She speaks "I'll take it. Deposit?" I ask "Just this month's rent" she says My eyes widen and she giggles. "Really?" I ask "Yes ma'am. Court doesn't need the money, but several people have lived here on and off. She donates the money to the local charity" she says "Wow. Ok cool. I'll take it. Know anyone hiring? I'm a bookkeeper" I say "I'm actually looking for a secretary. Pay is good." She speaks "I'll take it." I tell her "Awesome. Well let's get you settled, and you can start next week" she tells me "Sounds good." I say with a nod We walk back to my SUV and drive it down to the salon and I had my own entrance, so Natalie helped me unload some of my things. I noticed my door only had a tiny lock. "Um do you know anyone who could add some extra locks?" I ask softly "Of course. I can make a call, and have it done while we go to Target and Walmart. You need groceries and bedding" She tells me "I don't have a lot right now" I tell her "I'll front you for now. And don't say no just think of it as your new friend helping you out. You can pay me back" Natalie tells me "Thank you" I whisper and my eyes tear up She sighs and steps up wrapping her arms around me and I melt into her and hug her back. "I'm always here. I know you just met me and I know it will take time to trust me but I'm here. I promise you can trust me" She says in my ear "Thank you." I tell her She pats my back and pulls back, and we head out. Her phone rings and she answers it. "Hey baby. Um we have a new tenant above the salon. Could a few of you run by and add some deadbolts and better window locks?" She asks She giggles and talks a few more minutes and hangs up. We get our shopping done and when we get back to the apartment I was sleepy. We started unloading bags and taking them up. I walk in the door and go over dropping bags on the couch and when I spin around I scream. "What is it?" Natalie says rushing in She says the man and sighs. "Damnit get out Cueball. I called Bear for a reason" She snaps "he's here honey" He says walking out Another man walks in and she smiles. "Annalise this is my husband, Aaron" She tells me He was huge and he smiles at me. "Hello little dove." He says "Hi" I squeak out He chuckles and Natalie giggles. "So you windows have new locks and new screens and two new deadbolts" He says "What do I owe you?" I ask softly "Nothing honey. You owe us nothing." Natalie says softly A knock sounds on the door and Natalie opens it to reveal the other man. "Cueball this is Annalise. Sweets this is Cueball or Caleb." Natalie says "I um brought up the rest of the bags so you didn't have to make more trips. Can I come in small fry?" He asks softly I nod slowly and he steps in and walks over placing them down on the counter. He turns and walks out closing the door and I relax. "Now I got you a phone. All our numbers are in there. I'm number one and Bear is two. Now let's put this away and you shower and throw on something cute. You're coming with me tonight" Natalie says I nod and go to shower noticing a locking knob on the bathroom door. I shower and dress and walk out to find Natalie waiting on me. "You look like you feel better. And I like those jeans" She says "Is it ok?" I ask "Of course. Ready?" She asks "Natalie where are we going?" I ask "A BBQ. You need to eat dinner soon and the other ladies will be there" she tells me I nod and she smiles and I lock the door and I drive us following her directions. When we pull up to a big building I tense. "Don't worry. I won't leave your side" She tells me I nod and we step out and walk inside. I freeze noticing a bunch of big mean wearing a bunch of leather. Natalie pulls me over to a bunch of ladies and they all smile. "Ladies this is Annalise. She is renting the apartment above the salon. Annalise this is Hannah, Bridgette, Jessica, Abagail, Leslie and Court you met already" She says "Hi" I say softly "Ladies. Baby drink?" Bear asks her "Sure. Annalise drink? We have everything" She says "Wine?" I ask "White or red little dove?" Bear asks "White please" I say softly He nods and turns to leave. I reach out catching his arm. "Can I come with?" I ask when he looks at me Natalie smiles and he nods and offers me his elbow and I look at Natalie who nods with a smile. I take it and he leads me over to the bar and a man covered in tattoos steps up. "Give me a beer and two white wines." He commands A beer is slid over to him and two glasses are placed down and filled with wine. He takes one and offers it to me and picks up the other one for Natalie. I turn and bump into someone and he growls and I jump knocking into Bear. "enough" Bear growls "She needs to watch where the f**k she's going" The man snaps I tense and next thing I know I'm picked up and set on the bar and Bear has the man by the throat. "We do not get angry at our women here. We do not get disrespectful with the higher ups. Apologize now" Bear snarls "Sorry" The man croaks out Bear drops him and another man steps up to grab me and I screech. "Woah darling it's ok. Just going to help you down. Was just going to offer my hand so you could get down" He says softly I look down and notice how high up I am. "Come on little dove. Down you go" Bear says He lifts me softly and places me back on the floor. He hands me my glass and smiles at me. "Sorry" I whisper "Hey that was not your fault. It was digger's. He's a d**k. He will stay away from you." the other man says "Annalise this is Ace. Ace is our hacker." Bear tells me "Thank you" I tell him "Anytime mini" Ace says nodding Bear leads me back to Natalie and I sit by her. "You ok?" She asks "I'm ok" I tell her I sip my wine and get to talking to the other women. A door slams and a huge man walks out. He was covered in tattoos. "Bear" He shouts I flinch and Bear growls and stands stalking over to him. He whispers something in his eyes and his eyes flick over to me. "Little dove could you come join us? Bring your glass" He asks I stand and walk over to him and he leads me to a room and shuts the door. I start breathing heavily and Bear's eyes widen. "Here stand by the window honey. Deep breath. Your ok. This is Wolf. Wolf is our President. I just wanted you to meet him if you were going to hang out with the ladies." He tells me softly I down my wine in two gulps and I hear a chuckle. I look over to see the huge man watching me. "Hi" I whisper "Hi little firefly" He says "I'm going to let you two talk for a bit" Bear says My eyes widen when he walks out closing the door. "Want to have a seat?" Wolf asks "Can I have a refill?" I ask softly He picks up his phone and send a text and a minute later the door opens and Bear steps in with another glass and takes my empty one and leaves. I shuffle over taking a seat and sigh. "So how are you liking the girls?" Wolf asks I smile and he waits for me to answer. "They are great. Natalie has been a big help so far" I say "Yes she is a good one. We love her around here" He tells me "I can see that. She went into momma bear mode earlier" I tell him "She does that" He tells me A knock sounds on the door and I tense. When it opens Natalie pops her head in and I smile. "Come on sweets. Let's feed you" She tells me I nod and stand and walk out without looking back.
