I was currently in my apartment when a knock sounds on my door. I walk over to it but I don't answer it right away.
"it's me Firefly" Wolf says
I flick the locks and open the door slowly. He looks down at me and I sigh.
"Can I come in?" He asks
I pull the door open and he steps in closing the door.
"What are you doing here?" I ask
"Natalie said your shower head was messed up and leaking. I come to fix it" He tells me
"oh um ok. I'm sure you know where it is. I'm making breakfast. Hungry?" I ask
"I can always eat Firefly" He says
I nod and walk back to the kitchen and he goes in the bathroom. Fifteen minutes later he is out and I'm finishing the eggs.
"All fixed. I upgraded it though. That shower head sucked ass" He tells me
"You didn't have to go that. I was managing just fine with the one in there" I tell him
"I told Courtney I would when she mentioned it to Natalie. Not a big deal and took me fifteen minutes." He says shrugging
I turn and place a plate in front of him and I take mine and go over to the fridge.
"Juice, water or tea?" I ask
"Tea" He says
I pour a glass and hand it to him and I grab my juice and take a seat. We dig in and before I know it a girl was bursting into the door.
"What is it Jessie?" Wolf asks
"it's Poison" She says in a huff
"What happened?" he asks
"Fight downtown. He was stabbed. It's pretty bad" she says
I jump up throwing on shoes and we race to the clubhouse. When we enter people were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I see the man holding his side and I approach him slowly. I kneel down and look at him.
"Can i?" I ask softly
He nods and moves his hand and I life his white t shirt and smile.
"What are you doing Firefly?" Wolf asks
"Can you bring me some bandages, alcohol, wet wipes and a sewing kit?" I ask
He nods and someone sits it down.
"Whats's your poison?" I ask him
"Burbon" He grunts
A bottle is passed to me and I hand it to him.
"Drink up cause this is going to hurt" I tell him
I wet away the excess blood and pour alcohol over it and he grips my wrist tightly and I flinch.
"Sorry Phoenix" He says dropping my wrist
I pour on some more and wipe the would and then I thread the needle. I get to stitching him up and wipe it clean and put a bandage on it.
"All done" I tell him
I stand and my legs wobble and hands steady me.
"cramped legs" I grumble
"Thank you." Poison says
"Of course. Shouldn't even leave a scar" I say shrugging
"Where the hell did you learn to do that?" Wolf snaps
I flinch and my eyes widen and Natalie steps up taking my hand.
"None of your business" She snaps at him
His eyes widen and he sighs.
"Sorry Firefly but that was impressive as f**k. I didn't mean to sound snappy" He tells me
"Hey mini how about a ride? ever been on a bike before?" cueball asks
"No" I say shaking my head
"Want to give it a try?" He asks her
She looks down at her clothes and Natalie laughs.
WOLF'S POV
"I got something you can barrow babe" She says
She leads her away and when she comes back my jaw drops.
"Well look at you little dove. I say those jeans work for ya" Bear tells her
She grins at him and twirls in her spot and whistles ring out. She closes in on her self again and Natalie rubs her back.
"Come on mini. Let's go have some fun." He says offering her his hand
She takes it and he leads her out and we follow. Apparently we were all going for a ride. He gets her a helmet and gets it strapped on and then staddles his bike and Bear helps her on. He goes over the rules and what to do and we all take off. About two hours in he pulls off at a diner and helps her off.
"Sorry guys I have to pee and I'm hungry" She says softly
"We can all eat" Bear says
Cueball wraps a arm around her shoulders and leads her in. I growl lowly and I see a few smirks. After getting table she is placed in the middle and we all order.
"So mini where you from?" He asks
Her eyes widen and she clears her throat.
"Texas" She whispers
He reaches over squeezing her hand and I glare at him.
"oh relax you big fucker, I'm gay" he snarls
All our eyes widen and Annalise just smiles.
"It's why you so soft and cuddly. Your gentle when you need to be" She says with a smile
"Well I know who your going to want to snuggle with on a rainy day" Bear says
"Don't worry Bear, Natalie said I could use you if I needed to" She says to Bear
His jaw drops and Natalie burst into giggles.
"He is warm" Natalie tells her
"Just using me for my body heat" Bear grumbles
"Don't worry Teddy Bear your good at reaching the top cabinets" Annalise says grinning
He huffs and she giggles and cueball pulls her into his side kissing her temple and she tenses.
"Sorry mini. Didn't mean to overstep" He tells her
"It's ok. I'm just not use to a lot of affection. it makes me nervous" She says to him
His jaw drops and so does mine.
"how the hell? Your gorgeous and sweet and innocent." Cueball says
"I was married" She says shrugging
"What?" I snarl
"Yeah. Got married when I was eighteen." She says sadly
"Wow so young" Natalie says
"Yeah. Five years" She says shrugging
"So your newly divorced?" Natalie asks
"I am. Like four months" She tells her
"Wow. Never would have guessed. No kids?" Natalie asks
"No. I don't want kids" She says
Eyes widen and look at me and I glare at them.
"Never?" Bear asks
"Never. I don't like the idea of kids. I love other peoples kids but I don't want my own." She says shrugging
"Why not?" Natalie asks
"I just don't" She says
Our food is brought out and I notice she just picks at her food. I reach over squeezing her knee and she looks over at me. She offers a tight smile and I wave the waitress over.
"Bring my girl here some ice cream" He commands
The woman nods and walks away and comes back placing it in front of me. I smile and dig in and sigh.
"Well ice cream it is when she doesn't want to eat" Cueball says
She ignores him and finishes off her bowl in minutes and sighs. She reaches over stealing a fry from my plate and I push them towards her and she digs in. Everyone was done but chatting and watching Annalise devour my fries. When she's done she wipes her hands and I hand my card to the waitress to pay the bill. When everything is paid for we all stand and walk outside. I can see Annalise eye my bike and I grin.
"Want to go for a spin firefly?" I ask her
"Isn't it meant for ole ladies?" She asks
I see Natalie has been cluing her in on how things work.
"It is. But you family now. So what do you say?" I ask offering my hand
She tilts her head thinking and then places her tiny hand in my huge one. I lead her over and get her helmet strapped on and I slide on the bike and help her on. We take off and on the way back I could feel her trying to look over my shoulder. I flip the blinker on and pull off the side of the road and tap her leg telling her to get off. She slides off and I slide back and pat my lap.
"Is it ok?" She asks nervously
"Of course. You will be able to see better" I tell her
She slides on and I wrap a arm around her waist adjusting her and I take off again. About forty five minutes later I can feel her dose off so I keep a arm around her waist to keep her from falling off. When we reach the clubhouse I park and turn the bike off and she doesn't wake. Cueball comes over lifting her off of me and I remove her helmet. I follow him in side and he takes her to a spare room laying her in bed. He reaches down removing her shoes and pulls the blanket over her.
"Goodnight mini" He whispers
We walk out closing the door and head down to the common room.
"She asleep?" Natalie asks
"Yeah." I say nodding
"I think we will stay here tonight. She hasn't stayed here before and I don't want her freaking out. I know something is going on I just don't know what" Natalie says
"Cueball how about running a background check on her" I say
"No way. Nope. That little woman is afraid of everything right now. She is slowly trusting us. If we do that without her knowing she will run" He says shaking his head
"He's right. She is scared of everything. Let's wait" Bear says
I sigh and nod and take a seat grabbing a beer. A little while later a scream rings through the clubhouse and I'm up and racing down the long hall. I throw the door open to find Annalise hiding in the corner. I step towards her and she screams again and backs up even more. Natalie pushes past me and runs over to her.
"Shhh Lise it's ok. You ok. It was just a nightmare honey." She says rocking her back and forth
She started sobbing and I inched closer and knelt down by her.
"Shhh firefly it's ok. Let's get you up and something to drink" I tell her
She looks at me and stares. I reach forward and lift her into my arms and carry her down to the common room. I sit down by cueball, and Natalie comes over throwing a blanket over her legs.
"Tequila" She whispers
My eyes widen but Natalie goes over grabbing a bottle of patron and a shot glass. She sits it down filling it and Annalise picks it up throwing it back without flinching. She slams the shot glass down and Natalie fills it again. She throws that one back and leans her head into my chest.
"Well we know Tequila is the choice of drink. Now about a snack?" Cueball asks
"No. Sleep" Annalise says
"Sleep Firefly." I whisper in her ear
