A month later
I had done nothing but work and go home. I didn't want to go to the clubhouse cause I knew people would have questions that I wasn't ready to answer just yet. Natalie was lowkey asking questions without asking questions. I trusted her, I did but there was a part of me that didn't want to say anything to anyone. A knock sounds on my apartment door and I walk over opening it to find Cueball standing there.
"Hello mini. I brought dinner and a movie. What do you say?" He asks
He pouts and I smile and let him in and lock the door.
"dinner is good but a movie is a no go. I don't have a tv here" I tell him
"What?" He says looking around
"Yeah" I say shrugging
"That won't do. We will cook when we get back. Let's go buy you a tv and you can use the shops wifi." He says
He grabs my keys and takes my hand and pulls me to my SUV. He drives to Walmart and we go in and he buy a tv for the living room with a surround sound system and a tv for my bedroom. He goes over buying tv mounts and all the other stuff we would need. We pay and get back to my apartment and he sets everything up while I cook. By time I was done he was done. He turned on the movie and I handed him his plate. We ate and he took the dishes to the sink and came back sitting down by me. I threw the blanket over his legs and leaned into his side sighing. He wrapped a arm around me and we just laid there watching tv.
"What's your real name?" I ask
"Liam" He says
"I like it" I mumble and yawn
He chuckles and kisses the top of my head. I don't know when I fell asleep but we woke up the next morning to people talking.
"Cueball" I hear
I whine and snuggle into him more.
"Shh don't wake her" Liam says
"Liam" I whine
A few chuckles sound out and I peek a eye open and look up. Wolf, Bear and Grizz were all standing there.
"Sorry man. We fell asleep watching tv. What's up?" Liam asks
"Liam huh?" Wolf asks
"I asked now shh. I'm sleepy" I say grumbling
"We have to do a run. I tried calling and Courtney said you were up here" He says
He scoots out from under me and I grumble.
"Go back to sleep mini. I'll text ya later" He tells me
"I want to meet this man in your life that keeps taking my favorite pillow" I say rolling to face the back of the couch
"Already met him sweetheart. Now come on in the bed you go. I'll lock up" He says and picks me up
I feel him lay my down on the bed and pull the covers over me. I went straight back to sleep and bolted up a hour later. I looked at the clock and cursed. I jumped up and showered as fast as I could and got dressed and raced to the office. I walked in panting and sighed seeing Natalie already here. I walked in her office and winced.
"Nat I'm so sorry I'm late. I slept in. The guys barged in waking me and Cueball put me in bed without turning on my alarm" I tell her
"Annalise honey I know your tired cause today is your off day" She says with a smile
My eyes widen and I slump against the door.
"Oh god." I mumble rubbing my forehead
"Go home. And sleep" She tells me
"I got to run and do grocery shopping first and then I'll go home and sleep." I tell her
She nods and I head out. I get to the store and I start grabbing what I need and I pull out my phone and call Cueball.
"Hello mini, im kind of busy at the moment" He tells me
"Are you coming over for dinner?" I ask him
"I'll be there. Now I really have to go" He says
"Be safe" i say
"Yes ma'am" He says and hangs up
I decided to do steaks tonight. I could go home and marinate them so they are ready for tonight. Once I was done and I went home and unloaded everything and got everything prepped for tonight. I decided to lay down and watch a movie and before I know it I was fast asleep. Some time later I hear the door open and close but I ignore it.
"Hey there mini. Nice nap?" He asks sitting down placing my feet in his lap
"Yes actually. I haven't been sleeping good. I also bought steaks for dinner" I tell him
"I'll cook you rest mini" He tells me
"I can do it. If I sleep anymore I won't sleep tonight" I tell him
I go in the kitchen and pull things out and sigh.
"Liam can you run out? I forgot milk, butter and sugar. I have no tea." I say
"Of course. Want wine?" He asks
"I love you" I call out
He chuckles and leaves and I turn on some music and get busy. When I spin around a man was standing in my living room watching me. I gripped the knife in my hand and screamed. A minute later Liam was busting in the door tackling the man. He rears back socking the man in the face knocking him out cold.
"Annalise honey you have to call Wolf for me." He says softly
I grab my phone and call him.
"Firefly" He says
"Help" I whisper and sniffle
"What's wrong baby? Tell me what happened" He snarls
"Liam's here. There's a man" I say with a another sniffle
"Stay with Liam Firefly. We are on our way" he says
I hear his bike roar to life and I hang up. I stay behind the counter and Liam jumps up coming over to me. He wraps me in his arms and I sob into his chest.
"Shh it's ok babe. Your ok." He tells me
He lifts me sitting me on the counter and notices blood. Wolf barges in with Bear and some others and I jump.
"Baby are you bleeding?" Liam asks
"My hand." I whimper
He looks it over and gets a clean rag and wets it and wipes away some of the blood.
"You sliced it. No stitches needed but we will need to dress it. You gripped that knife hard" He tells me
Bear stalks over to me and looks me over.
"You ok little dove?" he asks softly
"I was cooking. I asked Liam to run out to grab somethings I forgot. I had music playing so I didn't hear him come in. I screamed and Liam ran in tackling him" I say softly
"Bear take him back" Wolf commands
Bear nods and kisses the side of my head and walks over yanking the man up and carries him out. Wolf comes over to me and sighs.
"Your coming to stay at the club house" He commands
"No i'm not." I say shaking my head
"Yes you are" He snarls
"No the hell I'm not. Liam asked me to call you. I didn't ask for your help. You may leave" I snap
His eyes widened and he growls and goes to reach for me.
"Do not touch me" I snap
His arms drop and Natalie rushes in.
"Woah babe what's going on?" She asks
"he is demanding that I stay at the clubhouse and I said no. He doesn't own me and he will never own me" I snarl
Nat's eyes widen and she looks at Wolf in shock.
"She is right and you know it. She isn't part of our world. Cavemen don't do it for her. Now out with you and I'll stay with her" She tells them
He glares at me and walks out slamming the door and I flinch.
"Don't worry about it babe. He will get over it" Natalie says softly
"Thanks" I whisper
"Come on let's go down and see if Court will do something with this hair. You need a little pick me up today" she tells me
I nod and slip my slippers on and walk downstairs.
"Hey Court. Got time to work our girl in. She needs a little relaxation right now" Natalie asks
"Of course. What do you want to do babe?" She asks
"Um i'm not sure. Maybe go completely black blonde with a fun splash of color" I say shrugging
"So lighten your blonde and add a splash of color. Any specific color?" She asks
"Purple." I tell her
"Alright. Cutting?" She asks
"A trim. I would like to keep the length" I say
"Alrighty then let me work my magic. Natalie get our girl a drink" She commands
She gets to work and a few hours later she was done and I was in love with it.
"Thank you so much Court. How much do I owe you?" I ask
"Nothing. Your family." She tells me
I yank her into me hugging her tight.
"Thank you" I whisper
"anytime babe." She whispers
I pull back from her and sigh.
"Let's go do some shopping and we will grab lunch and then we will go see what's going on" Natalie suggests
I nod and go change and throw on some makeup and we head out. Four hours later we are pulling up to the clubhouse and I sigh.
"Don't worry. He won't f**k with you" She tells me
I nod and we walk inside and I spot Poison. I walk over to him and everyone gets quiet.
"How is your side?" I ask softly
"All healed up" He tells me
"Good." I say with a nod
I spin and turn to walk away when a hand grabs mine. I turn to look and Poison was looking up at me.
"What?" I ask
"Thank you for checking" He tells me
"Of course." I say
I look a the table to see them playing poker and smile.
"Want to play lil bit?" Someone asks
"Can i?" I ask
"Of course." Poison says
He slides over and I sit beside him and cards are dealt. I pick up my cards and keep a blank face the whole time. The game goes on and I release a tiny smile.
"What's the bet?" I ask
"Um little bit our bets you may not want to play with" Knuckles says
"Just tell me" I say
"Well it was to see who could f**k the most women." he says wincing
"Knuckles i'm not a prude. How about that be yall's bet and if I win I get to take a picture of all of you in your boxers" I say smirking
"Deal" Voices ring out
Everyone takes their turns laying down their cards and then eyes turn to me.
"Your turn squirt" Knuckles says
I lay down my cards and jaw drop.
"Drop em boys" I command
Poison laughs loudly and wraps a arm around my waist and kisses my temple and I grin.
"best poker face I've ever seen on a woman" Knuckles grumbles
"I'm the best. Now strip" I say
They all groan and stand and strip to their boxers and I pull out my phone and snap a picture just as Wolf walks in. He stops in his tracks and the guys pull their clothes back on.
"She won the bet Pres. Best poker face out there" Knuckles says chuckling
Poison wraps a arm around my waist when he noticed I tensed and I relaxed into his side. Liam walks in and I rush over to him and he pulls me into his arms and I sigh.
"How's your hand sweets?" He asks
"it's ok. Stings a little but it's ok." I tell him
"Have you eaten?" He asks
"yeah Nat fed me after Court did my hair" I mumble
He pulls back from me and grins.
"I knew something was different. It looks good" He says
"thank you." I say softly
"How about that movie? I feel like a nap" He suggests
"god yes. I need my t shirts and I forgot to pick some up" I grumble
I hear footsteps and a minute later t shirts are pressed into my hands. I look down and back up to see Poison looking at me.
"They are mine. Should be big enough for your liking." He says
"thank you" I tell him
He drops a kiss on top of my head and walks away. I look up at Liam and he is smirking.
"Don't look at me like that." I grumble
"Why? He is cute" He tells me
"And I'm not looking for a man in my life. I don't need the hassle" I say rather loudly
Eyes widen and I tense.
"come on let's get you home" Liam tells me
I nod and we head for my apartment. A few hours later dinner was finally done and I was tucked up on the couch watching a movie. I don't know when but I fell asleep and hours later woke up to Liam slipping on his shoes.
"Go back to sleep babe. I have to go." He tells me softly
I nod and close my eyes and a kiss is pressed to my temple and that's the last thing I remember.
