Sybil's Destruction

Sybil is a spoiled girl, loved by both parents and trained by the best in her pack. Her father, Alpha Andrew of the Crimson Pack, loved her so much but had always hoped for a boy. He doesn't believe females should hold an alpha's power, and he doesn't plan on giving up his rank until he dies, or unless she gets married. Her mom went through some serious health issues when she was 16. The rumors of his aid in another Alpha's death swept the pack at the same time, but she was reeling from the fear of pain and loss. She would wonder if he had anything to do with it, but her pain was too consuming to dig deeper. When it was brought up in conversation, Alpha Andrew would shut the idea down and excuse himself from the conversation. Sybil lived oblivious to those concerns and focused on being at her mother's side. Blake was 17 when he was informed his father had been assaulted during a meeting with delegates from the Crimson pack. The meeting was supposed to be a negotiation to discuss and determine punishment for the wolves who keep crossing into Blue Moon territory and attacking betas as they hunt. He rushed to his father's side as he was taking his dying breaths. Pain and anger rushed through his body as he held his dad's hands in his. He knew there would be no time for a coronation. He had to start planning to avenge his father's death. His mother wept for what seemed like weeks, which only made him more determined and angry. He appointed his warriors. He wanted his friends and top trainees in his classes to take place as his Omegas and Betas. His father was his best friend, and they spent so much time together training and talking about the future he wanted for the pack and him. He could not understand why his dad was killed for trying to give them the benefit of punishing their own, as he could only see selfishness in the Crimson Alpha. He was determined to have Alpha Andrew's head on a platter and only then would he be satisfied. Every 5 years there is a summit that all high-ranking members of each pack are obligated to attend. The next is in a year and some months, and Blake has been preparing for the summit, gathering evidence to support his claims against the Crimson Pack. He wants them thrown out of the coalition, so that nothing stands in the way of annihilating the whole pack, and it's Alpha. He has no idea what fate has in store for him. Blakes POV 1 year and 4 months after the assassination. 3 days before the summit. '.' Blakes on his way to his pack house, moving so fast he doesn't even realize how deep his claws are going as he splatters mud and grass behind him with every pounce. 'Less than a week' he keeps saying to himself, 'I'll snap his neck'. As he reaches the house, he shifts back to human and grabs some shorts from his mustang. On the way to the porch, one of his gamma warriors greets him and informs him that his mother is looking for him and would like to speak with him. His mother is in the kitchen as always, cooking for the pack. "Dinner smells great mom!" Blake looks at his mom with admiration and a bit of sadness as she continues cooking. Luna Marie looks at her son and thinks of all the strength it must take to carry out his father's legacy at such a young age and would love for him to find someone who loves him as much as she loved his father. Marie exhales "Have you thought of a mate? "You know, summits are for more than delegating, negotiating and all that crap!" she laughed, but her serious face formed over quickly. She took a step forward and grasped my hands. "Wolves also go to the summit to find their mate. "Wouldn't you be interested in seeing who the moon goddess has chosen for you?" she said with raised eyebrows and a cheeky smile. 'I love my mother, but I am not in the least worried about finding a mate right now'. "Maybe I will mom. But it won't affect me if I don't. What will affect me is if my revenge is denied. That is what i am focused on!" He quickly left the kitchen as the anger built. 'I couldn't worry about a mate, how could she? Her mate died. I'm trying to avenge him, and she's more worried about me finding love'? Sybil's POV Two days before the summit After training with my best friend faith, I headed for a shower. On the way to my room, my father stopped me. "I need you to pack for a trip. We'll be gone a few days". "You are about to be of age and there will be dozens of Alphas and Omegas looking for their mate. You could find yours?" He gave a sly look and walked away. My dad has always told me he hoped I would find a strong mate so he could finally have a son. Maybe to form alliances? He has no son and no wife to make one with. He wants a son-in-law. Regardless, I went to pack. My wolf stirs at the thought and is intrigued about this summit. It seems she expects something as I'm dreading it. I have to pack, but my plans don't involve finding a mate. If I do, I just hope it brings a good treaty. We have always had allies, but for the last few years some treaties have ceased to exist with no explanation, at least to me and the pack. The forest tends to send our wolves back dead or severely injured. Someone has it out for us, and I have to stop them. With the support of the alpha king, we wouldn't have to worry about being attacked and could roam and hunt in the forest without worry.
