Synopsis
For the last century, a big leap on Science innovation was made, merely using humans as their specimens. With the breakout of their mistakes, humanity suffered from a viral disaster, and leads to an apocalypse and human mutations. The specimens wander in the soils of earth, some cause havoc and death, some helped and saved the civilians they bumped in the way. Every day the population of humans deduce into merely half, luckily some survived for another decade to live.
But unfortunate events still not stop then, for the domino effect of the science community’s creations and errors continued to haunt the humanity. With one blast of a nuclear powerplant, exposing a lot of CFC in the air and breaking the Earth's very own Ozone, left the Earth’s surface bare without any protection against the sun's UV rays. By then, humans started to live inside the caves, while one community of survivors advocated to create underground cities in which they could live. With the help of an infamous engineer, they developed undercities with proper ventilations and waterways that made another decade for human survival.
Decades pass, the humanity grew in numbers again, living in the undercities they created. While the Earth’s atmosphere slowly creates its own shield to protect itself and its surface from the near destruction of the blue planet. Gasses from the sunrays, little amount of vapor, CFC’s. The earth’s atmosphere now mostly composed of Harmful gasses, and makes another difficulty for the Human survival who directly use the surface gas to ventilate the Undercities.
Now, certain new engineers rose, brainstormed for another mechanical breakthrough they can use to continue this streak of survival. They consumed their days trying to find a new way, in which communities in the current undercities could all be safe against the toxic air. The result of this, they started building domes, armed in suits that filter air, they rose aboveground again. After decades of struggling to filter the air they breathe, by 2090 the City of Domes was created. Underground cities were abandoned, and the survivors started to build a new colony inside this 13 magnificently, special engineered-creation. Every dome has its own sustenance, having special air filters, man-made farms, local markets, man-made water sources each to provide the needs and necessities of its residents.
By the start of the 22nd century, the Humanity who had gone through a lot for the past decades successfully lived for another century learning a lot due to their experiences. This means a new mark, a new hope, and the new strength for survival. The City of Domes grew prosperous over the years. Then, 13 specially gifted humans were born, who’ll be the future protectors of the very lands. Soon after, another apocalypse will come, in which not because of human mistakes, but this time because of divine intervention. Secrets will be revealed; ancestry will be unfolded.
Solem Zekiah Du’Tritz is a citizen of Dome 12. Born inside the domes, etched with a mindset of surviving. She knew the history very well, for it was never tampered in the minds of every citizen who’s living there. She’s one of the top students in the Central Academy built in the Central Dome, whereas the center of commerce lies. She lives with her mother and a younger sister, not until her graduation comes, and she was forced to strive along with her sister after their mother was killed. Seeking justice and revenge, she entered the City Legion, in which she discovers a lot more surprises. After training for two years, she finally made it through.
Upon entering the Legion, all new warriors will be going to an oath taking to promise that they will protect the Palace of King Alexandrov and its residents, as likely as they will protect the 12 domes that surrounds the Central Dome. Each warrior was given a partner, in which she was introduced with Alexiese Morgann Ce Vieze, a young man about her age that has the almost perfect physical features she had ever seen and deep ash gray eyes.
The Oath of Loyalty into King Alexandrov's order; is the rule they all follow, the Oath of Brotherhood; is what they should always preserve, and The Oath to Peace and Survival; is what they should always engrave in their minds.
Years pass, as far as Solem knew, the survival they've been treasuring will soon be challenged again. By then she thought she know her city too well, but no. For the City of Domes still has secrets to reveal.
