CHAPTER 46 TRAUMATIC PAST The next morning, Liz yawned and stretched. She rose out of bed, pulled on a dressing gown, and wandered into the living room. Matthew sat up on the couch and watched television without the volume on. “You’re awake.” Matthew smiled. “Hmmm. Couldn’t sleep much.” “Same here.” She tightened the robe around her when it opened up, showing her taut stomach and cleavage. Matthew’s eyes had lingered on her chest for a moment until she covered it with the robe. “How about eggs and coffee for breakfast?” He turned to her. “Sounds great, but you don’t need to cook. We can go out if you like. Just somewhere close by.” Liz nodded. “Are you sure? I don’t mind making breakfast. I love the kitchen.” He smiled. “No, it’s fine. I’d rather go out if that’s okay with you.”
