A NEW BEGINNING
Later that day, Liz stepped into the kitchen after a light walk with Matthew. “How about a cheese frittata and salad for lunch? I also make a mean fruit smoothie.”
Matthew was checking his phone for messages. “Sure, sounds great. Let me help.”
“Okay, you can grate the cheese. It’s in the top part of the fridge, and the grater’s in that second drawer over there.”
Matthew grabbed the cheese and started grating it into a bowl while Liz cracked eggs into a separate bowl. Matthew picked up sprinkles of cheese and threw them towards Liz, the cheese landing on her face. She drew back with a light chuckle. “Hey watch it, Mister. You’ll have to clean that up.”
He threw another cluster of cheese in her face. “Oops, that was an accident.”
Liz hit him on the shoulder
