A BUSINESS PROPOSAL
Liz walked with Gabriella towards Southgate on Monday when Gabriella answered her phone. She fished it out of her back jeans pocket and paled when looking at the display.
Liz tilted her head. “Is everything okay?”
Gabriella turned to Liz. “It’s Domenic again.”
Liz was tempted to tell her to not reply, but why aggravate him when Gabriella could get answers. “Reply. Put it on speaker. See what he wants. If he keeps ringing, change your number.”
Gabriella nodded and put the phone on speaker, as they stopped mid-way towards the restaurants. “What do you want?”
“I heard on the grapevine that you’re working with Liz?”
