CHAPTER 28 PANIC ATTACK Matthew stood in the grocery aisle with his sister and Mariana the next morning, picking up a box of Milo for his niece. He turned to his sister, who put the box into the trolley and held her daughter’s hand. She was looking healthier these days and was getting along well with Mariana, which was a possible sign that she’d finally received the right help. Her skin glowed and her blue-green eyes lit up each time she spent with Mariana. As they swept down the aisle and entered the next one, he pondered about Johnny for a moment and wondered whether the prescription belonged to him or whether it was really for his wife.
