CHAPTER 31 INCIDENT Liz walked outside to her car earlier than usual from work so she could see her regular doctor. Gabrielle was shadowing another social worker, and Liz was feeling better as she stepped inside her car. Liz drove in the school traffic until she started experiencing a dry mouth. Her head spun with a slight tremor and her hands tingled. Body fatigue set in bringing her to the point of drowsiness. She had to stop the car, but the wave of light-headedness made her eyes droopy and her vision blurry. Sleepiness set in, but she was fighting it off.
