CHAPTER 40 EASY PREY Liz stared at the ceiling as she settled into bed that night. Domenic had been close to her twice now. He wasn’t meant to be close to her after his prison release, but what was the point of calling the police? He hadn’t harassed her, and he was in a public place. Tossing and turning in bed, Liz sighed and placed her hands over her head, thankful to have her wrist fully healed and the cast off. She closed her eyes for twenty minutes but struggled to sleep.
