CHAPTER 39 CONDOLENCES Liz lay back against the couch, wiping her nose with a tissue after crying into her lunch the next day. It was a lazy Sunday morning and she didn’t want to go out. Her heart ached and yearned for Penny, who was an amazing woman and didn’t deserve this. She refused to believe she had killed herself as she was not that way inclined and hadn’t been depressed. She was sad about her mother, but she would never have hurt herself. Her whole body ached and her skin felt splotchy. She hadn’t showered this morning and had no desire to clean herself anytime soon.
