CHAPTER 17 THE FIRE STATION Matthew exited from his car after parking near the firehouse. His hands shook slightly as he closed the door and picked up the black satchel. He made his way down a concrete path and spotted the big sign that said FIRE 000 on the front side of the tall beige building.
