A WORK VISIT
Liz sat in the staff room with her head bowed, nursing a headache. She pressed her fingers into her temples. She wondered if she should’ve even gone out last night. Going out at night always led to body tension and headaches at work the next day. Bella kept telling her not to burn herself out with too much fun, but she struggled to heed that advice. Maybe it was time to stop these distractions.
Thankful for the peace and quiet, Liz pondered her night with Matthew and what a mess it had been. She had considered going to Johnny’s house out of anger and as a way to distract herself.
