THE GYM
Liz waved to Jamie in the hospital cafeteria of Western Health, where her friend worked as a doctor in the emergency ward. She had met Jamie through Bella and they became fast friends. Jamie was the sensible one while Bella was the wise one. As for Liz, well, she was the wild one who probably needed to be tamed. Maybe one day.
Liz rose from the table and hugged Jamie, who patted her on the back. She wanted to tell her about Gabriella, and no doubt Marco would update Bella about her.
Jamie flicked her red fringe and fixed her with a strong brown-eyed gaze. “Oh, Liz, how are you doing after the news? I am so sorry I haven’t seen you. It has been extremely busy here in the ward.”
