Chapter Eight

836 Words
Abigail's first training was with her father. The king of the strongest and most fearless lycan pack there ever was. He would start to teach her all the tricks and trades of becoming a lycan Princess. As a soon to be Luna Alpha of her own Castle she had to be able to fight and shift at a moments notice and her not even knowing what she actually was, was a bit of an obstacle. "Abigail, there is one thing that I have to tell you before we go out into the woods today." her father started a little concerned. "Yeah? What is that?" she asked quite interested at what she already had learned in regards to her one side. "I have to take you into battle before your wolf can be awaken. This will be very hard and maybe even painful for you to watch and experience. Are you ready for this?" He started with an abnormal look in his eyes. For Abigail it looked like sorrow or even regret, but she could not be sure. "I am ready. There is only three days left before I turn 18 and then it is my coronation. Lance told me about the rituals and I am ready to become who I've always been." Abigail said carefully. "He looked pleased but concerned all at the same time. "I will be with you every step of the journey." he said taking her hand and making her jolt just a little. He reassured her with a small smile of pride. They walked to the Cruisers standing in the huge parking lot of the castle. They got in and would have to travel there by vehicle as Abigail can't access her wolf just yet. They got to an abandoned piece of land somewhere between somewhere and nowhere. They got out of the cruiser. Abigail could hear the clattering of the fight and her stomach started feeling weird, in a good way. The next piece will be from Abigail's point of view. As we stood closer to the chaos in front of us I could feel something inside me stirring. My father took my hand and I could see his eyes grow darker as I heard something buzz in my head. I tried to focus harder and I could hear his voice. It was deeper now but I nodded when he asked if I could hear his voice. "Alright then let us go and attack" he mind-linked me again. I could feel the movement within me grow stronger as we started picking up speed towards the fight. Before I knew it I was running full speed and the feeling was at its strongest within my heart and stomach. I felt the urge to jump and I jumped. As I jumped into the air I felt the sharp pain and exhilarating feeling of my wolf bursting to life. For the first time ever in my life I actually started feeling like I am important and strong. I could hear my dad's wolf growl with pride as he ran faster and faster. His wolf was a great, big silver and brown wolf. I wonder how my wolf looks', and suddenly I felt a sharp pain on my rear leg. This snapped me back to the fight at hand. With little to no fighting skills it was a hard and strong fight but after a few hits and a lot of biting I was standing strong over the pathetic wolf that attacked me. My front paw was pressing down on his throat forcing him to turn back and face his defeat. I could hear my dad's wolf growl once more. Then I felt the bottom of my paw grow lower as the wolf underneath me returned to human. It is a male and I was shocked. He had dark brown hair and shocking green eyes. My dad shifted back as well and was standing next to me in a pair of shorts. He shook the hand of the naked man that was beneath me and then mind-linked me to run to the tree line and change into the clothes there.  It was extremely exhilarating and I was back at his side in less than 5 minutes. I can't believe the clothes they left behind the tree. It was a sundress. Yellow of all colors. I looked like a sunflower but I was standing next to my father with pride.  "It is a pleasure to meet you queen Abigail." the man took my hand and kissed it softly. I am totally confused at the moment. "I am the Alpha of the second strongest pack in this area. You fight extremely well." he said smiling at me. "You never told me that she has been training and has shifted before Alpha Stephan." He said to my father. My father just smiled and told him that this was my first time and training was limited before this fight. I was actually proud of myself. We headed back to the castle just in time for lunch time.
