The Queen of the Hybrid

Chapter Two

Johnathan is at the front door waiting for Abigail to come down. He always drives her to and from school. As Abigail makes her way down the stairs, Samantha prepares her lunch. She never eats all the food her mother packs for her but Johnathan sure loves it. She grabs her lunch kisses her mom on the cheek and rushes to the door. She opens the door and in front of her a speechless, dropped jaw Johnathan. "What on earth is wrong with you?" she asks confused and quite sarcastically. "I have never in my life seen you this beautiful." he states calmly taking her by the hand and walking to the car. She is shocked but also flattered. He can't keep his eyes of her and this makes Abigail blush uncontrollably. Johnathan is like her older brother but Abigail has begun to see that he has stronger feelings for her and she does not want him in that way.

As they arrive at school for their last day they are greeted by all their friends. Marley is a feisty blue eyed blonde with long legs. She is wearing a knee length, washed out skinny jean with a pink tank top. On the top there is a lady scull in silver. She embraces Abigail as if she hasn't seen her in years. Marley is Abigail's best friend, although Marley hated Abigail a year ago. Marley has an enormous crush on Johnathan and Abigail tried to tell her that she and Johnathan were just friends but jealousy overruled. Marley could see that Johnathan had feelings for Abigail but she pushed them aside because the feeling was not mutual. Peter is Johnathan's best friend and he is crazy about Abigail but she doesn't seem to notice or care.

"Abi, is everything alright?" Marley asked really concerned. She could see that something was eating away at Abigail as they went to third period. "Marley, everything is okay. I'm just tired and I'm not sleeping well. Let's just enjoy our last day of High School." Abigail stated with some excitement in her voice and her ruby lips in the prettiest smile. They walked to the cafeteria chatting and laughing about their high school past and all the fun they had together and while Marley loathed Abigail. "You sure liked him a lot and you hated me for being so close to him." Abigail laughed and poked Marley.

After school Abigail told Johnathan that she would rather walk home this afternoon as she needed a little alone time. Johnathan did not like the idea but agreed and drove home. As she walked on home her mind kept racing to the lady in her dreams. Although she felt quite calm and collected about this woman she was still afraid.

'That woman is so familiar though I have no idea of who she could be. I wonder if Samantha or Charles has any of my late family. I sure miss them now even if I don't know them. Every girl wants her mom and dad at her High School graduation. I know Samantha and Charles won't miss it for the world but it is not the same. I am really confused. I want to cry and laugh out loud because of it being our last day here.' Abigail thought to herself as she walked toward her house. After about ten minutes she reached the house.

It never happened that Samantha and Charles were home together in the middle of the day this is really weird...
