Chapter Three

The next chapter will be from Abigail's point of view. As I came into the room I could feel the presence of something that I could trust. Not knowing what was going on I walked into the living room to find both Samantha and Charles sitting on the couch talking to a middle aged man. "Ahh Abi. This is Sir Lance Howick, of The University of Oxford. You never told me you applied so far." Charles said standing closer to me and giving me a hug. "He has come to tell us the good news in person." Charles did not even look concerned. I never applied to Oxford I only applied to the local Universities. "Miss Howell, it is a pleasure to finally meet you. I told the dean I would like to come and share the excellent news in person. He obliged with joy." Sir Lance said with a great amount of excitement in his eyes which made me uncomfortable. "We, at Oxford University would like to offer you a full scholarship with a living allowance, a brand new car and a fuel allowance." He said with his hands rummaging through the stack of papers he brought with him. This is one hell of an offer for a place I didn't even apply for at all and somehow Charles and Samantha believed every word sir Lance was feeding us. This is way to awkward. "I will be staying at the Hotel California for the next 3 nights so you can take your time and ask any questions you might have." Lance said as he handed me the brochures and papers he had brought. I felt my heart clump up in my chest. "Thank you sir Lance I will contact you if I have any questions." I said with a reassuring smile and he bowed his head as he left. Charles and Samantha was staring at me with so much love and support. "Would you mind it if I actually wanted to go too England and pursue this opportunity?" I ask with a slight quiver in my voice. I will miss my mom and dad terribly and I know this is weird but I feel like Oxford University needs me in a way. As if I can help to rule the kingdom, I mean University. "No sweetheart of course we will support you in any adventure you decide to go." Samantha said rushing to me as though she could she the tears boiling up. I was scared to say the least, but excited and proud of myself and certainly confused. As I sat on my bed reading through the Brochures and Information the Sir Lance handed me I discovered an ancient text that I have been researching out of curiosity. I noticed that the ancient text was directed, directly at me. 'Miss Abigail Howell. You are more then you think you are. Please come to England so we can introduce you to your kingdom. Upon your 18th birthday you will have to take over as the Heiress of Oxford. We look forward to meeting you.' The text took me by surprise as it was directed at me personally. I am no Heiress. That must be mistaken. I will go and see Sir Lance about this mix up tomorrow morning first thing. As I stood up to quickly take a shower before getting into bed I heard a small voice talk to me. "Princess it is time to come home to us now." I shook my head and thought nothing of it. Must just be the lack of sleep. I rushed into the shower and enjoyed the warm water cascading over my body. When I got out I went to the mirror to do my night time face routine and I saw that my eyes are almost completely amber now. It's a beautiful color and I am mesmerized by it. I finished up and headed to bed. For the first time in what felt like weeks I had a good nights' rest.
