I woke up knowing that Matthew was gone, I was relieved that I didn’t have to deal with him right now. My thoughts went straight to Nick and where he was. The baby kicked like he was reminding me that he was still with me. I smiled, knowing that no matter what happened I still had my baby. I was getting better at keeping myself calm it made me feel better knowing that I didn’t have to depend on Matthew so much.
“How are you doing honey?” My mom said coming into my room.
“I’m better than I was earlier.” I said laying my head on her shoulder.
“Everything is going to be just fine”, she said patting my back.
“Alli”, she said looking into my eyes.
“No matter what happens with Nick you need to stay strong for this baby”. She said holding my hand in hers.
