Chapter 27 CATE'S SLEEP IS, THANKFULLY, uneventful. She vaguely remembers dreaming. Bev was there, she thinks. They were at a cottage by a beach with her late grandparents and Trevor and Ashley and Ethan. Oh, and Jay-Jay was there, too. Campfire and s'mores and all sorts of animal sightings. Big fish dancing on top of the ocean. A giant grey moose. She can't remember the last time she had so much fun in a dream. She could live inside a dream like that. She'd be happy to stay in that world. And she does stay there, for an unusually long time. She doesn’t wake up until she hears Jay-Jay’s key in the lock.
