BEV’S GENERAL CONTRACTOR of choice is finally finished whatever gig’s been delaying him all this time. They’ve had the electrician in, had the plumber in, but there’s been no one to oversee the situation until now. No one but Bev, that is.
Cate was pretty happy with the lodge as it was, and she thought Bev felt the same way, but when this Kenny guy came in and said they had to do this, that and the other, Bev was right on board.
So a bunch of guys are making a bunch of noise in the main cabin. That’s why Cate and Bev take a walk to the ridge.
