John stop pulling my hair and give me my doll back, a little blonde 5-year-old Anna told her friend as he was teasing her. Anna stop being a baby her older brother Brent says, no Brent he is being mean to me, and it is not fair he is bigger than me. Anna, John is going to be alpha one day so of course he is bigger than the rest of us. Anna looked at her brother with tears in her eyes and gave him a look that he could not ignore. Ugh ok, John give anna back her doll before she goes and tells your mom and my mom on us for being mean to her. Fine here Anna the cry baby, says John as he and Brent run away laughing. Anna hugs her doll tight and wonders why John is so mean to her, as anna thinks this her mother Debra comes around the corner to get her for her daily training. Mommy do I have to train again today, I train every day and I just want to play with Brent and John. No little pumpkin you cannot skip training today, you are mommy and daddy special girl and must be able to protect yourself. Anna thinks for a moment and says ok momma I will train, but I would like pizza for dinner tonight, Debra thinks about it for a second and then she smiles and agrees to have pizza for dinner.  Later that evening after pizza and showers the family settled in for the night, Debra put the kids to bed as the Luna, Alpha, and Beta her husband were in a meeting and Debra being the Betas mate was tasked with getting the children to bed. After Debra made sure John and Brent were in bed, she then tucked Anna in and began to leave her room when Anna sat up and said mommy. Debra turns around and says yes, my princess, Anna looks at her mom and says can you tell me a story? I think I can do that answers anna's mom. Once upon a time there was a princess who fell in love with a rogue, and he was not just any rogue he was the king of rogues. He was a kind and generous king and did not consider himself a rogue, he was kicked out of his pack for having a special power. What was his power momma? Well baby his power was the gift of sight, he was a seer. The princess had heard of the seer and wanted to meet with him so he could tell her future, but what she was not expecting was that the Rogue King would be her true mate. All it took was one look and they both knew that they were mates.  The princess was happy but sad at the same time, see the princess was to be married soon and her father would never approve her being mated to the rogue king. She asked the rogue king if she would have a good future with her husband, and the rogue king was honest with her, he told her that her marriage would end in her death and her children with him would destroy the supernatural world. The princess was upset by this and decided that she could not marry the man her father chose for her, so she instead stayed with the rogue king, and after a few months the princess was pregnant with her first child. She had a little boy, and 4 months later she was pregnant again, but this child was to be a special child. Her husband the rogue king had a vision that their daughter would be born with special powers, and that she would unite the supernatural world under one banner and destroy the evil that threatens our world. The rogue king also saw his death, and with that he and the princess came up with a plan. Did they live happily ever after momma? No, they did not baby, the princess father was so upset by her betrayal that he launched an attack on the Rogue King's Kingdom. The princess's father knew she was with child and that the child would be born with special abilities that would help unite the supernatural world. It was foretold not only by the rogue king, but by other seers as well and that is why the king wanted his daughter back. The princess and her king were not stupid, she had fled her mate’s kingdom days before the attack and disappeared without a trace with both children in her arms. Where did she go momma, anna asked with curiosity in her eyes? Nobody knows baby, she vanished and was never seen again. What happened to the rogue king momma? Well baby he was killed when the princess father attacked the kingdom, and after the kingdom fell all the rogue kings pack scattered all over the world. Mommy that is a sad story, says Anna. Yes, baby it is but we hope that the princess story does not end there and that she had the baby that will help unite the supernatural world together. Momma how do you know this story, how do you know it is real? Well, my little princess this story has been passed around from pack to pack for many years now, your father and I were a part of the war that took place at the Rogue King's kingdom, we fought side by side with him until his death. Wow mommy, that story is sad, and the rogue king never got his happy ending with his princess or children. Yes, my love that is true, but we can only hope that one day the princess and her child will show up and save us all from the evil king that threatens our world. Okay, now it is time for bed Anna, Debra says as she re-tucks her back into bed. As Debra is closing anna's door she sees some shadows outside the window, but she chalks it up to her to being tired. As Debra makes it downstairs and into the kitchen, she finds her Luna and friend sitting at the table drinking coffee. Debra, I heard your story, and that is not exactly how I remember that battle going, why did you tell her a lie? Because Lily, she can never know the truth, she can never know where she comes from or the power that she holds. Debra looks into her friend’s eyes and a single tear falls down her cheek, Lily looks at her friend with sad eyes. Debra she already is different, everyone in the pack can sense it, see it even. Debra, Lily says as she leans over and grabs her friends’ hand, I saw her by the pond today she was sitting there and talking to the fairies, nobody in the werewolf communities can talk to the fairies its unheard of. She is manifesting her powers at a tremendous rate, and it will not be much longer until her wolf shows up. When she turns six her wolf will emerge and she will shift for the first time, this is unheard of in our world, and she will be hunted because of that. What will you say then? How do we explain this to the Alpha that we have been keeping a secret from him about Anna's true nature and destiny?  I am sorry Lily I can’t do that, no one can never know where she comes from and with that Debra got up to leave. As soon as Lily went to get up to get her friend there was a huge explosion, and the pack house was almost destroyed. The explosion and shaking of the house woke up Brent and John, and as they got up Alpha Sam came into the room and yelled for them to get out of the house and run to safety and make sure you get Anna, the Alpha command cannot be ignored, and the boys ran from the house into the forest to the meeting point that had been pre-planned in their many training sessions. The boys ran deep into the forest and crouched down behind a tree, after a few minutes Brent realized that they forgot to get Anna out of the house as well. So, Brent mind linked his mom and dad and let them know that he and John forgot to get Anna. Brent's father Beta Chris said that he would get Anna and to stay where they are, Brent said OK and closed off the link.  Debra tries to stand but her head is pounding, and her arm is cut badly, good thing her wolf can heal quickly and within a Back at the Pack House few seconds all her wounds are gone, thank you Lo, Debra says to her wolf. Lo comes back and says no problem, now let us go get our friends and Anna to safety. Chris, Debra mind links her husband. Yes, Debra are you ok? Yes, my love I am fine, ok Chris says. Debra the boys forgot to get Anna to safety you must get her out of the house before they find her. I know my love I am already on it, and with that she closed the mind link. Debra gets to the Luna and sees that she is hurt but not too badly, Lily get up we must get out of the house and get Anna to safety, the Alpha and Chris are fighting the rogues and we must help the other pack members get to safety. Okay says Lily as she stands up, she wobbles slightly and almost falls back to the ground, but her wolf's healing abilities has kicked in and she is starting to heal but nowhere near as quickly as Debra. Lily you must get out of the house and meet up with your son and Brent, you must get to safety I will get Anna and meet you at the lake at the border. Debra's wolf starts pacing around in her head and speaks to Debra. Oh, Goddess he has found us, we must get Anna to safety now. With that warning Debra runs upstairs to Anna's room. Meanwhile back in Anna's room, Anna is hiding in her secret hiding spot that her fairy friend thistle showed her. It is a special room built by the fairies to protect Anna, although she didn't know why as they never told her anything. All they ever did was sing her songs and play with her. Anna was being quiet so nobody could hear her, that was until she smelled her mom coming up the stairs. Her room is filling with smoke, and it is getting harder for Anna to breath, she starts to cough. As she lets out a small cough her mom comes into the room and screams for Anna to come out to her. Anna comes out from her hiding spot and runs to her mom; Diana grabs her and holds her tight telling her its ok everything will be ok. Just as Debra turns around to go out of the room she hears a growl, the growling gets closer, and Debra realizes that she is trapped. She turns to look around the room and sees the window has been broken and could be used as a way out, just as she gets the idea, she hears a voice from her past. Hello Debra, as she turns around, she sees a familiar face, hello William it has been a while. William looks at her with a straight face and says we will have the child, give her to us and the King will spare your life, ignore me and you will die. Debra then looks at Anna and says to her to hold on tight, and she puts Anna on her back and turns to run and jumps out the window with ease landing on her feet. Debra does not even look back she starts running at an incredible speed, but she is not the only one with speed like this. The others who are chasing her are just as fast if not faster, they almost catch up to her with ease, that is until the trees start moving and growing blocking the rogues from getting to her as quickly. Debra looks around and wonders how this is happening, but she pushes it out of her mind and keeps running.    Debra has started to slow down; she feels a familiar pull and it is getting stronger. No, this cannot be happening, not now Lo help me. I am sorry debs I cannot, he is binding our powers we must get Anna to safety. Debra looks around and sees an old tree stump that is just big enough for Anna to hide in, so she walks over to the stump and places a sleeping Anna into it. She always fell asleep when she would ride on her mom’s back, it was like she could lullaby her just by running with her attached to back. As she puts Anna safely into the stump, she looks at the fairies and tells them to cloak her and not reveal her to anyone, the fairies bow to her and say we will protect her with our lives. With that last word the fairies cloak the tree stump and not even Debra can see it, she cannot eve smell her daughters’ scent anymore. Once she realizes that her children are safe, she turns and walks towards the voices of the men trying to find her and Anna. Before Debra has time to react, she is punched so hard that she is knocked off her feet and flew about ten feet back, she sits up and spits blood out of her mouth and sarcastically says, William you still hit like a woman. William throws a few more punches and a couple kicks to her stomach before someone yells stop, it was Debra’s father, the Lycan King. Debra I am so disappointed in you, why could not you just do as your told, your brother does not seem to have an issue following orders, as William looks down and smiles at her. Well father I have always been a rebel, also I did not want my children being used as your pawns to take over the world, my children will end you and the prophecy will be fulfilled, there is nothing you can do about it. The Lycan kings smile fades from his face, and he bends down and grabs Debra by the throat, he squeezes her throat, and she begins to gasp for air. Do not worry Debra, I will find her, and her powers will be mine and I will rule all supernatural creatures big and small. The Lycan king looks at his son and says he should look for the child and with that William bows his head and begins searching the forest for Anna, the king looks back to his daughter and leans her in so he can whisper in her ear, tell your mate I said hi and with that he snaps Debra's neck and throws her behind him. The Lycan king looks at his daughter body and says I will have what is rightfully mine, I will find the child and suck the life and powers right out of her body. With that he turns around and vanishes into thin air.  Alpha Sam, Luna Lily, Beta Chris, Brent, and John are all reunited by the pond, but Debra and Anna are nowhere to be found. Sam looks at his family and the surviving pack members and wonders what they did wrong to deserve an attack like that, I wonder if they were after Anna? Everyone looks at the alpha with wide eyes, including Lily she looks at him and says you know, don't you? Lily and Chris look at the Alpha and he nods his head, but how did you know we were careful we told no one? Sam looks at them and says I have known from the beginning; the moon goddess came to see me the night Chris and his family showed up. She told me I needed to protect Brent and Anna that they were special and needed the proper training when Sam said this Brent and John looked up at him with shocked expressions. Alpha what are you talking about Brent asked, before anything else could be said Chris grabs his chest and screams out in pain. Chris falls to the ground and screams louder, he is feeling his mate bond with Debbie breaking. No, screams Chris. Lily, Sam,
