" Really? is that what she told you all? well... she lied to all of you." Jena said looking at all of them one by one.

" Why don't you tell them the truth?" she added swimming to Maria as she scratched Maria's tail very hard with her sharp and long fingernails

"Outchhh!!!". Maria screamed in pain. everyone gasped in shock wondering why the princess would do something like that. Bane rushed to console Maria as gently touched where Jena scratched telling her sorry.

Jenna looked at her fingernails expecting to see blue paint from Maria's tail but only saw Maria's glittering scales on her fingernails.

" How is this possible! she truly did not apply paint nor glitters on her tail" Jena murmured to herself looking at her fingernails as others console Maria

"BANE!!" She called out loud and angry at bane not liking the fact that he's so concern about Maria. Bane turn angrily at her. He grasps her by her hand and took her aside.

"why did you do that" he asked angrily

"Do what?!" she snapped rudely and forcefully pulling her hand off his.

"I can't believe you are actually associating with those low lives. Can't you see they ain't worth our friendship!" she angrily said and swam out of Bane's sight leaving him alone as he annoyingly stared at her. He groaned and followed her not because he wants yo but because he don't want to get into trouble with his father and the queen.

The palace was full of fun as mermen and mermaids dance on the palace stage and the best 2 pairs will be made couple of the year. not because they can't marry off this occasion but wants their marriage to be celebrated specially.

As everyone's attention was on the stage including the palace guards who came in to watch and select the best dancers. Maria took this opportunity and quietly swam out of the palace to the surface...
