Chapter 2 - The Encounter

Angelica Heart P.O.V

"I'm bored. Let's end this." said the man sitting at the desk beside me in lazy tone in his voice to the girl in front of her.

    I almost chocked on the steak that I'm chewing when I heard that sentences which came out from that guy mouth. I mean the guy not talking too loud but loud enough for me to hear it. Maybe because the table arrangement in the restaurant where the tables are not really that far between one another.

"Seriously??  You're joking right? We are perfect with each other, Danny. You and I are compatible both as partner among our circles and s*x. Why you suddenly said this? Did something happened baby?" The girl in front of him replied with increasing tone in her voice.

    Seriously, I just want to have a nice lovely meal today and I encounter a drama in here. However, it does make me feel better to hear other things than the gossip regarding my break up. I silently adjust my seat so that I can take a peek at the couple without get discover by them. Hey, I'm not an angel as my name is and sometimes I can be a bit busybody and now are on the times.

   I can hear the guy replied to the girl in calm but intimidating voice, "Slow down your voice. I don't mind announcing that I already bedded you but do you really think you want to wear it up on your sleeve because your voice kinda saying that you want to do just that."

    I can see that the girl face turn into crimson red. The guy, who obviously show little care regarding her face turn red, continue, "I hate to break the news to you. As compatible as you think we are, I beg to differ. I mean, it was fun to go around and the s*x are goods too but I'm bored. We agreed from the start that we only looking for fun with no string attached. However, I heard that you been telling people around that we are some sort of item which is big no for me. I don't wanna say this but I don't like to sleep with a w***e that been sleeping around left alone dating one. It's actually kind of degrading my standard. As we know, my standard are pretty high."

    I almost choked again when i heard he call him a w***e. Although I think he called her that because she been sleeping with someone else but he should choose better words. w***e is such a rude word to say to a lady. I can see the girl become more redder and she suddenly stand up." What the hell?? Who do you think you are. You are a notorious player and you dare to call me a w***e. Ain't that funny? You will be begging me for s*x later because I am the best you can get but you know what? We're so over!" 

    Before she go, she grab the glass in front of her and threw the water in the glass to that guy and stormed out of the restaurant. Due to the yelling and the water stuff that the girl did, he become the center of attention in the restaurant. However knowing that all eyes are on him and his suit is wet, he calmly call the waitress and ask for the bill. That time, his phone ring. He pick it up and answer it with a very warm voice, "Hey man..I'm good.. I just have to take care the business I'm telling you last night." He paused suggesting that the other person on the line is talking to him. After some times, he replied. "I never like that girl that much. I kept her around because she's good in bed. Other than that, I have no other reason. Plus, if I really want to commit a girl, I definitely would not choose that w***e who pretending she is loyal while she sleeping with other guy behind my back. Well, at least that dude is the one who need to handle that woman. Damn, now I have to get change as she threw water at me. I'll be there for the meeting in approximately thirty minutes.See you then."

   I'm feel sick as I overheard his conversation. So, there are some peoples that settle in a relationship just for s*x. As I turn around to call for the waiter so I can get my bill since i lose my appetite, I realize his face still drench with water as he seem not able to wipe his face off with anything as even the napkin on his table is wet due to the accident. Feeling sorry to him and a bit of guilty feeling as I had been eavesdropping  on his personal affair, I quickly get up and walk towards his table. He look surprise when I offer him my handkerchief. I avoiding from looking at him as I feel guilt start to fill my heart. Damn, I should have never eavesdrop this guy conversation.

"Use this to wipe your face. It's a terrible thing to happen to anyone in public. Hopefully you have an extra suit as I only can offer you this handkerchief. Take it." I said it without directly look into his direction.

For a few moments, I had been thinking he would not take it. Suddenly I can feel someone pull the handkerchief from my hand. He said in calm voice, "Thank you for being so kind toward me, miss. You don't have to do that just because you listened to my conversation with the lady. Still, thank you. I also please to tell you that I did bring an extra suit in my car as I was expecting this to happen. So rest assure. Thanks."

    Damn. He knew it. "I am sorry for doing that although I am not intentionally did that. I'll appreciate it if you'll forgive me. I got to go. Take care of yourself."

    Before I go to the counter to pay my bill, I can hear his say, "Apology accepted, Miss A.H.. Take care of yourself too. Thanks again."

    I'll be damned. I forgot that every handkerchief that i carry around with me has my name initial on it. However, things that had been done can't be undone. It is a weird encounter for me. Well, luckily nothing weirder happened to me. I even get good bargain when I buy the dress for the party at Shadow house. It's a party that I don't feel like attending to but I have to attend it as I promised Amber that I will. When I reached my home, I quickly think about the incident in the restaurant. I actually surprised by his calmness in handling the situation. Well, it is much expected to happen. After I realize what I've been doing, I quickly shake my head and get my good night sleep.
