Chapter 5 - Temptation

Daniel Moon P.O.V

"Where is the girl, man?" I asked Ab anxiously.

"Woah. Relax Dan. Why you so impatient? That is rare of you. Hahaha." teased Ab.

" So can you brief me a bit about this girl? At least something." I said coyly.

"You really want to know huh? Well, one thing I can is she recently single again. Another thing, she is the same as you. Haha" Abraham tell me with a laugh.

Single again? Who is this woman? It doesn't fit the girl I met yesterday. But what if it is her? But Ab said she is the same as me? How so? It make my curiosity grow.

"Speaking of the devil. There she is. Is she the girl we talked about yesterday?" asked Abraham while pointed into a direction where I see a girl is hugging with Amber, Abraham girlfriend. When she free herself from hugging Amber and I can see her face clearly, I'm startled. It is her!

I can feel my heart tugged when I see her. She wearing a modest dress and she seem like she just wear a lipstick and nothing else, but she mesmerize me and I don't know why my heart beat so hard as I see her face.

"Well, judging from your face, I believe we found your mystery woman. Haha. If I don't know you better, I will say you look like you are struck by love. "Ab nudging me while stifled a laugh.

Clearing my throat,"Don't be ridiculous Ab. I don't fall in love and you know it. It just that it is shocking it is the same girl I met yesterday at the restaurant. So hold your end of bargain Ab. Tell me about her." 

Still laughing, Ab tell me about her. "She is Angie, Amber ride or die best friend. She is called the Heartbreaker Player. She is said dated all the hot guys and dump them when she is bored. Technically, just like you. but.." Ab stopped and his face change.

"But what, bro?" asked me.

"Stay away from Angie, Dan. She is her best friend and I don't want anything effecting our friendship nor their friendship. I love Am, Dan."

" Anything as at i f**k her and dump her?" I asked cynically.

Ab laugh and said, "Or she f**k you and dump you."

Before I have the chance to response to Ab, we find Amber with the girl. Angie right in front of us.

"Ab, Angie is here. Angie, this is Daniel Moon, Ab best friend. Dan, this is Angelica Heart. She's my best friend and my SBC." Amber make a quick introduction between us. I find that she keep staring at me and then when i stared at her back, she flustered. This girl is cute. I can smell her perfume and it is the same fragrance like yesterday.

 " Hello. I'm Angelica. You can call me Angie. I'm sorry for staring just now. Nice to meet you."

She is polite. Well, ain't that something? I quit staring at him with dominant intention and offer her a handshake and I smile at her. I can feel Abraham face full with amusement and Amber look full with worry. It take her forever to accept my handshake and damn her hands feel so soft. Holding her hand,  I said, "Likewise. I had been informed a lot of good things about you. Nice to meet you too. I'm Daniel, Daniel Moon."

Suddenly I heard Amber voice. "Angie. Ab and I have to go to greet the other guests. Please get acquaintance with each other. You know, for future purpose." I think she meant it for her. She then turned around to me with fierce look. "Dan, play nice with Angie. Unless you plan to have your funeral ceremony soon." I laugh and nod to make Amber feel assured.

"Dan, remember. She is dangerous. Red flag. If you think you up for the risk, go ahead.Don't say I didn't warn you." Ab whisper to me and he take Amber hand and whisk her away.

A player huh? Dangerous huh? Let me be the judge of that. I tug her hand when I realized she still staring at Amber and Abraham. She turned around and looked at me with her dark brown eyes. She has a nice eyes. It entice me. Suddenly, I feel it again. My heart beat so fast. Why?

She suddenly pulled her arm and I feel sad. Like I want to hold on it more. What?  With almost whispered voice, she said"Yes, Daniel?"

She is so petite. I can envelope her in my hug just like that. She doesn't have luscious body but she still attractive looking girl. She wear almost no make up and I feel she is stunning.She also look so fragile and gentle. How come this girl is a heartbreaker? She look so innocent. Maybe it is her mask? Well, need to start saying something to her. "Angelica Heart. I know that I heard of you. You are the HeartBreaker Player. This is interesting. Nice to meet you here."

She seem hurt and seem angry a bit. However she replied me in calm voice." Likewise, Daniel Moon a.k.a the Notorious Player. I didn't expect that I will meet you here. Seem like it is fated."

Well, this is interesting. " You know me?"

She answer nonchalantly. "To be honest, I heard of you but I don't know you. However, since you bringing up my nickname, why wouldn't I do so too?"

Did mentioning her nickname make her upset? Man, this is not a good start. Damn, Daniel. Well what should I call her? Maybe it can lighten the mood a bit if I call her Lica? Hmm. I said"Well. Its look like I offended you somehow by mention that, Lica. I never mean to offend you so I deeply apologized about this. Can we start again, please?"

She looked startle and confused.. Why? With her sweet angelic voice, she said "None taken. Don't worry. Anyway, please call me Angie. Nobody call me Lica. Unless you want me to call you Niel. I bet no one call you that. right?"

    After saying that, she left out a chuckle. Niel? Weird but it ring dearly to me. Why I feel this way? She look much more beautiful when she smile. I like the nickname. When she said my name, Niel, it actually turned me on. Since when a simple thing like nickname can make me turn on? She is dangerous like Ab said, but I want her keep calling my name like that. Thinking of tha, I grin. "As a matter of fact, it is true that nobody call me Niel. They either call me Daniel, Dan or Danny. Then, it is set. I can be the one who call you Lica while you can be the one who call me Niel. Sound like we have special nickname for each other right?" she obviously startled and her reaction is making me wanna laugh." Now, shall we dance, Lica? Or should we talk about yesterday?"

She replied me with puzzle look on her face. "I don't plan to have special nickname with you, Daniel. and yesterday?"

    Her expression is so fun to watch. She seem didn't notice me yet. Or is she pretending? Let see."I see that you don't remember it? Well, I'll be damned. You are sincerely do it without any other attention, huh?"

    Then it struck me. She just decline to call me Niel and opt for Daniel. It pissed me off. I want her to call me by Niel. "By the way, you better start calling me Niel, Lica. I prefer to be address that way by you. It make me feel good. "  

When she heard me, she rolled her eyes. She keep surprising me with her reaction."I don't want. What you gonna do about it? and stop calling me Lica. It's Angie. You are a weird guy Daniel." she replied. Coldly. 

    Her stubbornness really pissed me off. Why I am pissed off with a nickname? I don't know but all I want to make her do is to obey. She then turned to walk away from me. The nerve. I quickly grab her arm to stop he and I can sense that she startle by it. Her reaction is so innocent. Is she putting a show to seduce me? Well, if so, it is working.I quickly whisper to her,"If you don't call me Niel, Lica and said I can't call you that, I'll make sure I kiss you right here right now until you do that. So what do you say? You gonna do it or should we put up a show tonight for these people?"

    When I pulled her closer, she shake her body a bit. Is she turn on too or is she not comfortable? I can't read her. I pulled her around closer facing me. She quickly try to push my body a bit with a bit redness in her face. She suppose to be the player but this closeness make her embarrassed? Suddenly I can sense that I start to get an erection. I think she didn't realize it when I hear her nervous voice.

 "Please let me go. You are too close. Peoples will think differently. Please."

    Her plead make me more turned on. Pleading? Begging? Man, gotta get a hold on myself. I am focusing on the question I asked her earlier. " Why would I care? I need to hear the answer. Nickname or kisses? " I can feel her getting stiff and with more nervous tone, she said, "Please let me go. You wouldn't want to kiss me here. You gonna lose your chance to get the hot ladies that attended this party. This also not gonna look good for your reputation. Just let me go, please."

    Her worried face and her whispering voice really turn me on. If only I can kiss her and get her home to f**k her now. She is a player right? She must be good in bed. How can she act so innocent? It just turning me on. I lowered my face near to her face and I can see she get more flustered. I love all her reactions. Maybe she planning for this? "Your pleading are turning me on, Lica. Why wouldn't I want to kiss you here? You are a beautiful woman, baby. Reputation? I could care less. What so bad about a player kiss a player? I am serious Lica. I don't like to be deny in any way and I always get what I want. I'll kiss you if you insist of not calling me Niel, Lica. Maybe that is what you really want? Do we want to give them a show? Make your decision, Lica."

    She look into my eyes and I think she know that I am serious. I am dead serious. I hate disobedience but for once I hope she deny me one more time so I can f*****g kiss her. She seem like she think for a bit and with a nervous voice, she respond to my question at last.

"Fi..Fine. I don't fancy the idea of peoples watch me kissing a guy I just met and that eyes of yours kinda tell me you gonna do what you said if I say no. I don't need some more spotlight. You can call me whatever you want, including Li... Lica. I will call you Ni..Niel. Can you let me go now, please?"

    She is looking at me with the puppy eyes and crimson red face. It really turned me on. I quickly take a deep breath to control my emotion.  "Lica, I'll be damn. You look so cute. You blushed.This is refreshing." 

    I let go of her arms and take a deep breath to control my raging need to f**k her.I quickly pretend to speak cheerfully" I'm glad I come here tonight. I love seeing you blushing over a name. However, you don't know that I wish you didn't easily say yes to my request, Lica. It would be nice to kiss your lips."

    She flustered again. It really seducing me. All the expression she show me make me feel intrigue to know her. I can sense she trying to act calm when she said "Stop saying that kind of words, Ni..Niel. We are in public. Can't you see that peoples are staring at us?"

    I look around and I can see what she said is true. Even Abraham. Abraham give me amused look and a signal of " I warned you". Who cares? I just want to focus on her. I look back at her. " Who cares? They just feel weird to see two players are talking to each other. Anyway I want to talk about yesterday."

    She looked puzzled again while saying " Yesterday? What about yesterday?". Somehow it really amuse me. I let out a chuckle. "Well, apparently you are kind enough to lend me your handkerchief when I had a little accident yesterday in the restaurant. I would like to thank you for that. Can I buy you dinner to show my gratitude?"

    She looked shocked after I said this. Is it really surprising? Suddenly I hear her said it out loud, "You're the guy from that restaurant?? Now I know why she threw water at you. You are a player." I feel a tug in my heart. I don't really like how she connect the incident with my reputation. Suddenly, she echoed an apology to me. " Owh, I'm sorry. It's rude of me. Please forgive me. It's slipped out of my mouth. I glad I can help you in some way. No need for the dinner. I didn't do much anyway."

    First she apologize for her action but then she decline my invitation to dinner? Didn't I tell her earlier on that I hate rejection? I keep staring at her and she might sense that I am pissed off as she quickly say,"Well, I need to go back now. Gotta look for Amber and Abraham to say goodbye. Goodbye Niel."

    She think she can run away? Hell no. I quickly grab her arm. "Seem like you like to decline and deny me, Lica. I just invite you to the dinner to thank you for your kindness. I know you shouldn't have problem with it as I heard from Ab that you recently single. Why you decline my offer, Lica?"

    I think I make her scared of me with my words. f**k. I don't mean to scare her but she really know how to push my button. Still, it amused me how she try to put on a brave face. She whispered to me "I don't mean to be rude but I don't like a player and you mister, a big PLAYER with capital P. Please let me go. You hurting me."

    A player? That is why she decline me? When she is also a player herself? Talking about weak excuse. But do I really hurt her? Maybe it is another excuse of her? It make me smirk."Lica, you never cease to surprise me. Stop making excuses. I know it doesn't hurt you." I keep my gaze on her and it confirm me. She is not hurt. Naughty girl. I continued, " For a girl that have a reputation of a player and been called as heartbreaker player, I would say, me being a player is not really a good reason to decline my offer for dinner."

    She flustered again when she heard my words. Well, calling me out when she is the same and use it as an excuse to decline my invitation, she has nerve I give her that. Then she give me the puppy eyes again. "Well.. What I said is the truth. Please let me go. I don't like being stared like a doll by peoples."

So she is worried about other peoples opinion? I realize that she referring to the girls that looking in our direction right now. I pissed me off but I don't want to make her scared of me. But her decline also make me turn on. She is a tough cookie to crack. " I don't like to be decline. Do you plan to turn me on, Lica? You playing hard to get is turning me on. I will find a way to make you said yes so I can repay it back. I hate feeling I owing someone."

    She seem relieved when I let her go but she look down instead of my eyes. With calm voice, she said "Well, like I said. You don't owe me anything. It is hardly anything. I will be going now. Goodbye Niel." She quickly turn around and make her way towards Amber and Abraham. I quickly said, "Not goodbye, Lica. Goodnight. We will be seeing each other again. Take care Lica." I know she heard me. I see her exchanging words with Amber and I notice Amber glance at me. Are they talking about me? After a while, she's gone.

    For a girl that have a reputation of a player and infamous heart breaker, I would have to say, that is such a funny statement she had to say to me. I don't have any attention to leave you alone, Lica. Instead, I will keep approaching you until you're mine. So my advice, start running, Lica. I will catch you. I can feel that I had become so possessive about her. Why? Whatever. All I know she intrigued me and I want her.

    I make my way to Amber and Abraham. Before I can say anything, Amber look at me with stern face. "Did you do something to Angie, Dan? I've been watching. She keep look like she flustered around you. She even leave this party before dance with anyone. I purposely invites all the hot guys for her. Now, tell me what did you do?

    Suddenly, I feel annoyed. So, that is why there is so many new faces in Abraham party tonight. She intentionally invite them for her? Wait. Why am i annoyed with this. I also don't like Amber attitude towards me. But I see Abraham face and I notice his worried look. Man, he must worry I hurt Amber feeling. I cleared my throat and reply Amber calmly." I didn't do anything to Lica, Am. We just have some chit chat. I just trying to get her to accept my invitation to dinner as a thank you token. She declined it though. Maybe because I am bad for her reputation?"

    I purposely put the last word to influence Am. Ab always said Am has a soft heart. Maybe she will help me to meet Lica again? Ab give me a nudge and when I look at him, I know he know my plan as he give me disapprove look. Well, I want to get what I want. Am look at me with surprise look and I know it is working.

" Lica? Thank you token? What is this all about, Dan? Ab baby?" she said with confused look. I want to explain it but then, Ab stop me and give me a wink. Man, thank you. 

"Well, baby. Dan told me about a girl that hand him her handkerchief at the restaurant when he is dumping Jessie. You remember Jessie right?" I can see Am nodded vigorously. She hate Jessie. She is the one who tell Ab that Jessie been sleeping around behind my back. Ab continue, "Well, I told Dan what Jessie done because like I said, Dan seem serious with Jessie. So when he heard that, he decided to end things with Jessie. But Jessie decide to throw water to Dan. When he get wet, Angie offer her handkerchief to him."

    Amber beamed up. " Yeap. That is Angie attitude. She can't stand when see someone in trouble. But how Dan know she is Angie?" Ab responded."Well Dan showed me the handkerchief and I recognize it. You know how Angie love to have her initial on small stuffs like that. So I told Dan to come to see if she is the right person so Dan can express her gratitude. It turned out I am right."

     "Lica is a nickname I called her just now. She said it was okay. I just want to say thank you but she decline my offer. Well, maybe because I am a bad guy and she embarrass to be see with me because of my reputation. She did say that I am the kind of guy she want to stay away from. A playboy right? I don't mean to hold her arms that tight but I just sad. I am sorry Am. Please let her know I am sorry and I understand that" I chimed in with sadness in my voice. 

    Amber gasped. She keep silent for a while like she thinking about something. Suddenly I see her eyes sparkles."I know what to do? I will make breakfast arrangement for you two. Well, I will say that it is for four of us but me and Ab won't be joining you guys. Use it wisely okay. I will give you her number too. I don't know why but Angie is not rude type of person. Maybe she misunderstand you because of me. So take this as the gesture I apologize to you okay." 

    Because of her? Well, whatever. When I see the text with Lica number, I grinned and say thank you to Am. Whatever she think that she did actually get me the chance to meet her again. After sent me the number, Amber excused herself and leave me and Ab together.

"Well,well,well. Look who acting like a guy that struck by love? I told you she is dangerous." Ab said with a smirk on his face.

"Thank you, bro. I appreciate it. Love struck? Nope. It just that she is different. I just want to be friends with her. I gonna make a move first. Say thank you to Am for this, okay?" I give him a hug.

He hug me back and say,"Different is her danger, Dan. Be careful. You might be burn before you reach the sun, bro. You'll see why peoples that date her can't forget about her and linger around her like glue. See you at the office on Monday."

I started to drive my car to go back to my big by lonely house. While driving, I keep thinking about today events and Abraham warning about Lica. Seriously? Can't move on? Is she really that good? Well, that's bad. That is why love is bad. Abraham worry too much. It's not like I plan to f**k her. I just want to express my gratitude to her. Well, am I really sure I don't want to f**k her? When I thinking about her expression and her voice and her face, I turn on and I can feel my erection. f**k.

I quickly hit the gas towards my house. When i reach my home, I quickly grab a cold shower and get into the bed looking forward for tomorrow. Lica, I will see you tomorrow my sweet little angel.
