chapter 7: Amadi's pov

I have already dressed up to go for a business meeting when I decided to check on muna, poor girl she would be going through a lot right now with all she has heard and received today. I always knew that Amanda does not like muna but I was not expecting it to get to this level, with everything that had happened today I was so devastated and mad at her at the same time.

I was away for some time for a business trip and Amanda and mouna saw that as an opportunity to maltreat muna, I was very disappointed at them for the condition at which muna was

I was very angry at Amanda for all she had done to poor muna.

I stopped in front of muna's room and knocked on the door and knocked, I heard a "come in" so I twisted the door knob and came inside, muna smiled but I know the smile is not from the heart. she only smiled to cover up the fact that she was sad "how are you princess" I said as I walked to where she is and sat next to her "I'm okay dad" she said as she faked the smile again I observed her as I put my hand under her chin to make her look at me and I was heartbroken to see that my little girl had been crying "no you are not princess" I said with my voice laced with worry

with that she began to cry as she could not hide it anymore, I cuddled her and let her cry out, to pour out her pain as I patted her back. I wish that I could just take away her pain because it hurts to see her that way "sshh it's okay princess" I cooed as I try to console her "I'm here for you now" I said with assurance and of course I'm here for her now and as long as I live Amanda and mouna would never hurt her again "nobody will hurt you ever again, if you need anything just come to me" I said as I gave her an assuring smile, nobody will ever hurt muna gain

few minutes later muna fell asleep in my arms so I laid her down on her bed and covered her with a blanket then headed downstairs "honey, your food is ready" Amanda says as she sets the table "I didn't say anything or reply her as I took my briefcase and left for my meeting

I hired someone to watch over muna and give me a call if anything happens. l can't let her suffer again.
