709 Words
I stood there transfix as I watch my husband totally ignore me and left. after all the stress I have been through to prepare his favorite meal and I got this?. I actually prepared this meal to apologise to him not because I regret what I did to muna, I just wanted to apologise because he is my husband and I love him so much that I'm scared of losing him. I watched as his car drove out of the compound. all this is happening because of that witch that calls herself muna Gosh I hated that girl from the day amadi brought her home I have known that she will always be bad luck. I swear to God that I will make her life a leaving hell. not only does she want to take mouna's place in her father's heart but also wants to destroy my home!. I laughed as the thought came in, that's never gonna happen I was so lost in thought that I didn't her mouna call my name until she snapped her fingers in front of my face "mom are you okay" she asked as she observed me "I'm fine dear, it's just that I am sick and tired of that useless goat muna" I concluded frustratingly as I rubbed my forehead "arrrrh, that girl is such a headache" mouna laughed "is that what you are so worked up about, seriously mum" she said with a questioning look on her face I couldn't reply her as I sit down on the dinning chair "she's such a pain in the ass" I stated "your father left this morning without saying anything, he even ignored me when I told him that food was ready" I said with all the anger that I could muster cause I was so angry at myself for being stupid and angry at that witch muna "that girl is too useless for you to think about, when you can actually bend her to do your will, you are the boss here remember and dad her protector is not around" mouna said as she rolls her eyes and take a sit "I so much hated that girl, I hate her so much that I was so happy when I discovered that she was not my sister but a roadside baby that was picked meaning she is a nobody" mouna said with so much disgust and hatred in her voice "I hated the fact that we attended the same school which is not supposed to be because we are not in the same class" mouna said with frustration as she taps her foot feeling uneasy "it's okay my dear, all this is happening because of your father, if not for him I would have placed that girl in her place" I said as I understood mouna's pain she looked at me then said "anyways, I came to tell you that I am going for a party and I'm not coming home tonight" she concluded as she stood up that was when I noticed she was dressed to go out. "and what kind of party is that" I inquired as I don't understand what she was saying "and where do you intend of spending the night" I asked as I remembered she said she was not returning home "Its ermmm" she said scratching the back of her neck "it's Ella's birthday party and she asked me to come help her with it and there is a possibility that I might not come home so that's why I'm telling you mum" she said as she looks at everywhere except me I began to suspect that she was lying to me so I asked again "are you sure about what you are telling me?" I asked as I observed her "yes mum of course" she said. then I signed there is no need to keep pushing her since she says she is telling me the truth, she is my daughter right and I should trust her "alright then" I said in conclusion "yes" she said as she jumps happily "thanks mummy" she said as she kissed my right cheek I smiled, I'm happy that she is happy..I love my daughter so much I watch as she left.
