"sit down" my father said as he points at a large stone that was in front of him.
He takes a deep breath, then breath out before he starts talking "long ago, I was returning from the farm when I heard a baby crying from a distance, I decided to ignore the cry but it got so intense that I couldn't ignore so I decided to go close and lo and behold it was you" he smiles a little then continues "you were so small and fragile and your face was already red from excess cry.....your beautiful little frame couldn't let me leave you so I decided to take you in as my daughter and take care of you, so I picked you up and I saw a piece of paper saying... please take care of her for me and I took you home. that's it" he explained
I just sat the devastated, sad and angry at the same time, how would a woman, a mother for that matter abandon her child by the river side.
I was so mad at my mother cause she's the reason for all of this, she made me pass through all this pain by abandoning me
if she had not I won't be going through all of this.
I looked at my father, the man that has been caring for me all this while, he has always treated me as a daughter and I have always seen him as father and nothing is going to change that, not now, not ever
with tears falling from my eyes, I knelt down he looked at me surprised by my action but was cool as he was trying to know what I was trying to do "thank you Daddy, I'm so grateful" I said.
He made me stand up and wiped my tears with his right hand then said "there is no need to be grateful about anything, you are my daughter and I am your father and I'm so proud of having a daughter like you" he said with a smile. I smiled back and I hugged him then mouthed "I'm so proud to have you as a father too".
"now let's start going as it is now getting late" he said as he starts to gather his farm tools "yes father" I said as I assisted him.
then we started walking home.
