Savannah didn’t know what to think when she stepped off the plane at Fort Sam. It was her first time back in the states in several years. Texas was nothing like New York. It was hot and dry. It would take some adjusting to get used to, but with Bennett, she was willing to do anything. They had talked the whole flight back about what life was going to be like for them. They landed at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida to change planes and drop Fiona off. She was all too happy to be back home.
