At seven o’three in the evening, a full sixty-three days since leaving Natalie, the brutal attack on my nanocells had been completely vanquished. I stand and tense the muscles of my arms, back, neck and legs. “I’ll be right back,” I say to Oscar just before fragging immediately to Natalie’s and Livia’s room. It’s dark inside the room.
