Natalie can’t get Pieter Rine out of her head. When she’s awake, she thinks about him again and again in a loop, her brain allowing him and his extraordinary blue eyes to invade her thoughts every ten seconds or so, but it’s not nearly as bad as when she’s asleep. He invades her dreams entirely. Him and a baby. In almost every dream, she sees Pieter Rine in a manner that makes very little sense to her: he’s tender, loving, sweet, and caring.
