Chapter 65
Something caught at Sal’s mind, something that had been noticed by her fellow Gifted. Her attention was drawn to a group of Sanctuary’s ships right at the heart of the battle which had suddenly started acting strangely. They were ignoring the fights they had previously been engaged in and were instead forming up and rushing toward another group of ships.
At first Sal thought the ships being attacked must belong to the Gifted, because they clearly weren’t Imperial, but when she checked more carefully it became clear they weren’t.
She frowned. What was the unknown group doing here at all, especially so close to the worst fighting of all? They seemed to be in a defensive formation with something at their heart, but what was it?
