Jess had the Wanderer engage its jump engines at a precise time, ensuring it leapt into jump space alongside the other ships. After his previous experiences with jump space around Sanctuary he was taking no chances.
The engines cut out almost as soon as they’d activated. Jess frowned and sent a query to the Wanderer, asking why the engines had been shut down when they needed the ability to move around.
